MetallicGear Cases by Phanteks

I like them, specifically the Neo-G Mini, however the lack of back exhaust concerns me.

Thoughts?

they look good. that mini-g would use the psu as exhaust and then the rest would blow out through all that perforation. I think it is designed for water though.

I guess that makes sense if your GPU is on water, too. This may be the case I use for my 12 yr old's PC when he inherits my 8700k next month

I like it for the most part.

I am having a struggle deciding between Phanteks and Thermaltake. I like the View 91 and the Enthoo line. Just trying to decide where I want to spend my money and if I really want to jump into watercooling.

This to is another one to consider. One day I will shit or get off the pot.

I'm stuck on SFF cases or small ITX towers. I want something small and portable, I wish the Raijintek Ophion Evo would show up on Newegg so I could buy it, for now I might go with the Inwin A1. I like the water cooling option on the Ophion Evo, though.

I picked up the Neo Mini in silver, it arrived over the weekend. Build quality is good, panels fit together nicely. The silver finish also looks great. The cutout behind the motherboard is large and provides easy access to change the CPU cooler and m.2 slot (I have an ASUS Strix with a rear m.2). There is a dust filter along the bottom of the case and a magnetic one on the side panel cutouts. The mesh in the front panel acts as the filter there.

I knew going in that it was a "huge" case for ITX but it seems a little too big I think - there's a lot of empty space. Maybe the "G" model would look a little better since it might make the case look a bit more "full". I think it looks more empty compared to the H200 because it doesn't have the PSU shroud at the bottom taking up a lot of room in the case.

The case is so big that I think the mATX version might be a better option. It's only 2" taller and looks like cable management may be a bit easier in it.

Interesting, thanks. I still may build one in the future. I ended up going with the Thermaltake Core V1 until the Raijintek Ophion comes out later this month.

Junk. Not enough airflow for the front. Really wish the industry would stop using form over function.

Well I doubled down and tried the Neo G as well. With everything fully assembled in the case it definitely fills it out more.

I haven't done any gaming in it so I'm not sure about thermals as of yet. The G version is a little worrisome since it doesn't have any active exhaust at the rear but the vertical mount is 3 slots so it sits away from the glass by a fair bit.

One advantage of the G version is that I have a Corsair commander pro with the lighting hub. There's very little space for cable routing between the back panel so it's really hard to find a place for it with the "normal" version of the case. With the G version I just tucked it in behind the GPU under the riser cable.

I also have an InWin A1 so you can see some size comparisons in the pics if anyone is interested.
