Forza Horizon 4

rip all my graphic settings were reset and now i'm trying to remember what i set everything too :(
 
One thing I have been noticing is how much better the AI is this time around. They actually race instead of trying to hit you every chance they get. It has brought my frustration level down a great deal compared to FH3 and FM7.

Also, PSA for those who are just going to start playing today regarding available content (spoiler for those who don't want to know):

You do not fully unlock Horizon until you progress through one full year first, which consists of gaining 285,000 Influence and completing 4 Showcase events. This includes access to any DLC, VIP rewards, and loyalty perks.

the AI's garbo.. it's only the top 3 cars that act normal, the rest of them are on a rail system.. if you push them they'll brake because they're going above the average time they're suppose to be going. if your on the racing line they push you off it to get back on to it. i'm hoping once more people start playing they become better since expert on some races are useless since there haven't been enough people running them to get good lap times for the AI.
 
I think I sent invitations to people, but honestly I can't seem to make sense of the clubs and crap.

The Forzathon events are hilarious and a lot of fun. I'll definitely be doing more of them
 
ok found the cheat car.. dodge SRT demon with AWD conversion and all upgrades except the lowering kit using horizon race tires.. cars literally glued to the ground.. just ran 3 races with expert AI and won all 3 by more than 15 seconds with absolutely no tune on it.

yeah the forzathon stuff is fun especially when you take a p50 and rack up 80% of the speed trap points by driving 20 ft to either side of the speed trap and racking up 155mph at a time while people are trying to do max speed runs.
 
Well i have to say im pretty pleased with the game.

Only issue im having is the damn disconnected from horizon life constantly but hopefully that gets fixed in the next patch. Really makes it difficult when your in a convoy.

I haven't had that at all so it might be some sort of local issue, like firewall settings for example.
 
Has anyone found any good wheel settings? With my G29 I am spinning out constantly, which is rather annoying because I couldn't spin out with a regular controller if I tried. Literally... I have tried.

I've played PCars 1 and 2 with the G29 for 20+ hours and had no issues, so I don't know what's up.

from what im seeing you need to set the outside deadzone to 100 and inside to 0 and crank up sensitivity.

Just tried those, not much better unfortunately. I could maybe get used to it but it feels so unnatural and way different from and harder than any other game I've played with a wheel. Like even Dirt Rally is easier than this.

Though, it's really only the off-road races where it's a problem for me. Maybe I'll do wheel for road races and grab my controller for off-road.

there also mention of a 900 degree setting, maybe in the wheel software.

That's the degree to which you can turn the wheel before it locks. 900 is the default.

Those settings helped a bit for road races I think, and I don't mind using my controller for the off-road bits. It's still plenty fun. Thanks!
 
How much does my driving affect my Drivatar? If I start driving better will my Drivatar seem better?

I'm getting pretty good at road races, if I am in a car I like and tuned it well I can hang with Expert or even Pro. Offroad is a whole other story, I find offroad and cross country races much harder go against anything but Average or Above Average drivatars.

i don't really know if your driving effects your drivatar.. i think the drivatars are sort of random because some of the names i've seen at pro difficulty aren't even in the top 50 completion times. i found the offroad easier in short wheel base cars like the RS200 evo, or impreza 22B. those two cars eat up offroad races. i've only done a few cross country races just because i'm to lazy to upgrade any of the vehicles you have to use to run them. for everything else i just use the dodge SRT demon which is broken as hell but need to tune 4th through 6th gear more to fix my top speed.

I had the constant network disconnected message until I renewed my xbox gold. I had let it lapse a month back. Once renewed that pesky message went away.

Im on PC. Gold is free for us. Its something weird that interrupts the session. Some were saying its from alt tabbing and it causes it to go into background mode which changes cpu priority but i have that turned off. Turned off Rewind and it got noticeably better but still does it.

i think he means at the start of the game.. in the demo the chick not stop talks through the intro races before you get into the game.. but for some reason in the actual release there's no talking, you just drive in silence which i don't mind.

I ended up getting the Ultimate edition of this game and I'm not regretting it so far. Although I wanted to play them, I never picked up the expansions on FH3 so I figure getting the ultimate edition I wouldn't have to worry about that this time.

The only issue I've had with the game was last night. I don't recall what the exact error was, but it was something along the lines of "low streaming bandwidth" AKA textures failing to load. I was running on ultra without issue for days so I don't know where it came from. I dropped it to high and it didn't resurface. Slightly annoying but not the end of the world.
 
welp figured out the shitty part about being in a club or having people on your friends list is that you have to racing their drivatars from the first place position which is pretty fucking stupid. if you started side by side with them i'd be completely fine with it but starting behind 10 retarded ass AI blows.. fyi the AI is literally just that with other players names on them, they're not actually those players laps unless they're in club with you or on your friends list.

nevermind figured out how to break the "feature".. start the race quit it, start it again all your club/friendlist members become normal AI again..

haven't run across that issue myself but i use custom graphic settings and sit around 100mb under my vram limit. i only play about 30-40 minutes at a time though.

3840x2160 HDR 98 Hz, all in game settings set to manual and max including AA. Been playing on my Scorpio, though, as the game keeps crashing on my PC after around 90 minutes. I played 8PM to 6AM straight the other day with no issues on the console.

I have a G920. T300RS is a good choice.
 
Can you take a picture without it blurring everything out except the car? I have no clue how to make this happen
