So, I'm upgrading from a GTX 960 to a GTX 980 Ti....

Do I need to uninstall the drivers and run DDU before doing the swap, OR because they are both maxwell cards can I just switch them out with no issue??

Thanks [H]

Edit: I'm on Windows Home Premium 64 bit

Reinstall the drivers, I'm pretty sure the driver is different between GM206 and GM200.

Ok, no problem..

Next question, this 980 Ti has dual 8 pin connectors.

My PSU has 2 "outs" that each have an 8 pin and a 6+2 style pin.

Should I run it through the two independent 8 pin lines, or will the 8 pin and 6+2 pin on one line do just fine??

PSU: EVGA G2 650W

The installer doesn’t install drivers for just the card that’s installed. The existing installed driver will work for any supported nvidia card.

Doesn't matter. :)
