Shipping Notifications

Wait, spoke too soon.

I don't know why this delay bothers me so much. I had no problem with any other cards, and I'm likely to only replay the Witcher 3 and log more hours in rocket league. But it took so long between generations, then the month delay between announce and launch, and now more haha, I just want this to arrive already.

I've heard nothing since my confirmation email on the 20th - though my original estimated ship date was October 8th. I hope that doesn't mean that I'm going to have to wait till November to get my card, assuming the 15-17 day delay is universal to all orders.

My newegg 2080 Windforce card that I ordered Friday after cancelling my Amazon pre-order showed up as promised today.

They also had a selection of 2080 cards in stock at Best Buy Friday the day my preorder SHOULD have been in my hands already.

I got my email - date is 10/5. Ordered 8/20 at 12:31PM (well my receipt date/time).

“3-4 weeks” still on the FTW3 Ultra. Gonna be waitin a while methinks. Custom PCB n all..

Has anybody got a shipping notice from any flavor of eVGA 2080 TI?

As far as I am aware not a single 2080 TI card has shipped from a preorder for ANY manufacturer. All of the 2080 TI cards shipped so far have been for reviewers and not for actual customers. I checked every forum I could find and I didn't see any credible evidence that someone "preordered" a 2080 TI and has already received it.

I think this is a pretty good indication that there actually is a significant issue with the cards and Nvidia has issued a "Do not sell" order for the cards already produced.

It is likely that the manufactures were able to modify several of the cards to get them out to reviewers. However, even those cards were late. Now they are trying to play catch-up and fix the large quantity of cards they have already produced. This is the only explanation that makes sense because they really aren't telling us anything about why they are delayed. It would be terrible for the success of the card if everyone found out they could be defective.

That's what I'm hearing in UK and EU forums as well: no one has seen a 2080 ti ship yet.

This doesn't mean there's an issue with the card. I'm befting it's an issue with distribution, or tight timing on nV getting chips to AIBs.

In the meantime, UK resellers are showing heaps 2080s sitting unsold, but that's another story. To have a top end model not even come close to sellling out in ths first week is unprecedented in recent releases.

EVGA just started shipping 2080 TI cards today. Looks like they will go out today and arrive tomorrow for those that chose next day air.

My Newegg EVGA 2080 Ti pre-order hasn't been updated since last Wednesday. It's still showing "available 9/27" with no additional info. I chose express shipping and it would be nice to have this thing in-hand for the weekend.

Monday I got my preorder from evga for a RTX 2080Ti XC Ultra. It was shipped last Thursday 9/20. At least some preorders did indeed ship on 9/20.

I still haven't gotten any type of email from Nvidia since the original "order received" one back in August. Thinking of cancelling and waiting for EVGA's FTW, Kingpin or Classified.

Got my email from NV and my Ti is supposed to ship 10/5!

Just got a "Payment Charged" email notification from Newegg on my Gigabyte 2080ti. Checked the order status and it says it's in packaging and expected to ship 9/26. Curious note - I placed two orders for 2080tis the day of the press conference. One (the one that's now in packaging) was placed at 12:09 EDT, the other was at 12:19. I haven't gotten any kind of notification for the second, and order status still shows it simply as "pre-order". So I assume the stock they're getting is very limited and they're actually processing the backlog of pre-orders in the correct order.

Still seeing nothing for my EVGA card at Newegg. Hopefully it's not one of the ones that got further delayed.

I placed the order at 12:28PM 8/20, which was actually on the later side. By the time I ordered, the MSI and EVGA Ultra had already been sold out.

This is definitely a case of first come first serve based on what they're getting in from the various AIB's.

Yeah; the MSI was even sold out when I first placed my order at 12:09.

I would be super interested if someone with a RTX card could run a traditional benchmark at stock, max powerlimit (not hitting it) and then run a RTX benchmark like Final Fantasy and see if it pulls more power.

My BestBuy ti FE is still in process... it’s the first thing I am doing when I get my card if no one else does. Curiousity is killing me.

I just a got a charge notification from Newegg (and it claims my order is in "packaging") so I'm hopeful that thing will get out the door today.

Domingo,

What card did you order and when did you order it?

Mine is the EVGA RTX2080 Ti. My order no longer says when I put in my pre-order, but I'm about 90% sure it was on 8/21. I was refreshing and hoping for literally any 2080 Ti cards (except that lousy 1-fan ASUS one) and lucked into the exact one I wanted.

^ That's basically what mine looks like, although my order total is definitely showing up.
