I am collecting parts for my first custom loop. I already ordered my fans and radiator...HWLabs 420GTX and 28GTX with 5 x Noctua NF-A14 PWM Chromax. I decided I will be going with soft tubing for now. I am looking for the very best soft tubing...also what size? I am planning on clear liquid, if it maters. I don't mind spending if the product is worth it. I am also thinking EKWB EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB PWM for pump, unless someone has a better suggestion.

I really like Mayhems soft tubing, so I’d recommend looking at their stuff

Primochill Primoflex and Mayhems Ultraclear are the best I know of. Tygon used to be the best but these have pretty much surpassed that. I have some of the 3/8 ID - 5/8 OD (thick wall) Primochill stuff. I found it a little costly, but you might be able to lay hands on some of the Mayhems Ultraclear for less. Both are very good, can handle nice small radius bends and don't leech out their plasticizer which can gunk up your loop. As for quality you won't go wrong with either of them.

So I am looking at this...

I always value your opinion. Have you worked with Mayhems also? What difference have you see? I see you linked 3/8-1/2. Is that your favored size? I am not sure the advantages/disadvantages of a thicker/thinner sidewall.
I have not used Mayhems. 3/8x1/2 is the standard size we use on our test bench here. I have been replacing all our old tubing when it comes time with PrimoFlex. All the block pigtails I use here are PrimoFlex now and have been for about a year. I has had great results.

Deep in my soul I feel like I really want to be doing a hard tube setup. They just look so sick. I have a heat gun, I don't mind putting in the time. Which is more leak prone? Which would you do? If I was to go hard, what tubing would you look at. Sorry for all the questions and indecisiveness.

No hard feelings! Glad you decided to take the leap and pull the trigger :)

For you or anyone else that may happen upon this thread, I would also recommend PrimoChill PrimoFlex, great stuff as mentioned by Kyle. Both PrimoChill and Mayhems are right at the top for me.

np from me TahoeDust . Glad you found something that works for you. For myself I don't build cooling system to be looked at. I've gone past that point in my hardware insaznity :D

If I were building a cooling system to show off, I would certainly do hard tubing, but I just like the handling flexibility of soft tube setups. I like being able to disconnect and pull the entire system out of the computer as a unit, test, modify and purge air, then stuff the whole thing back in when it is ready. It's just my way of doing things ;)

LOL Yes, it is not for the faint of heart or the light of wallet!
No kidding...lol. I am about $1400 in before hardware...
