Huawei's marketing team was truly ingenious with a recent campaign targeting Apple fans camping outside of Apple Stores overnight in anticipation of the iPhone XS and XS Max product launches. They gave away Huawei power banks to 200 lucky Apple fans with the message 'Here's a power bank. You'll need it. Courtesy of Huawei.' This was done in reference to the new iPhone lineup only having a 2,685mAh battery while the Huawei flagship phone has a 4,000mAh battery. Well played Huawei! Well done!

The iPhone XS comes with a 2,658mAh battery, while Huawei's flagship phone the P20 Pro comes with a 4,000mAh battery. Also, Huawei overtook Apple as the smartphone brand with the 2nd most sales worldwide during the Q2 2018.

Well. At least THEY will know when you're charging. Hooray for Huawei, yeah.

Cool. A sub 3000mAh battery on a flagship phone is stupid. My now older $250 Honor 8 has a 3000mAh battery.

But it's an Apple product, so if you don't get a full week out of a single charge obviously you're using it wrong.

Well played... until P20pro users also need one because they can't easily replace the internal battery.

I don't believe they gave out more than 5 to people. It would be cool if they did that to all the Apple stores, but probably just one.

Holding it wrong isn't going to affect battery so using it wrong makes more sense.:p

That's not entirely accurate. Hold it wrong, get shit signal. Shit signal causes radio to use more power, leading to shit battery life.

My 2 year old deca core phone give me 4-5 days on a charge of its 3700 MAh battery.
Im ashamed some people in my family are slaves of the fruit company, but i cant say it to them too often as that would not be polite, it is after all their free choise to use the phone they want, just saddened they haven't also bypassed that brand.

So I would say by Apple's standard's the batteries are bigger this time around.. I guess its all about battery life in the end.
My designs would start at 5000mah, but no one would by any of my ideas so whatever.

Because every device needs the same amount of power...
Unless you defeat basic physics there is only so much you can do to conserve electricity. So yes the magical apple logo can't halve power consumption of the cpu/screen/aerial/etc.
