Best game endings?

There is another COD or BF ending with flags, aircraft carriers, destroyers & planes flying over, but I can't remember which game it was or find a video with this stuff?

Any help?

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare : Certainly one of the best campaigns I ever played. And arguably the best ending I ever saw in any game. Maybe I'm a softie, but I can't help but get tears in my eyes even now when I watch it.

Alpha Protocol : Well, not because of the individual endings, but because of how personal you can make the ending with your choices. For this reason there is no point in me linking a video of an ending, because it is meaningless without the choices that lead up to that particular ending.

I don't think there were others where the ending stood out to me. There were many good games, but not because of their endings.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare - snip

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare = fantastic!
A lot of people did not like this as a COD game, but it was FANTASTIC to me.

Thanks for the comments RE: Alpha Protocol too - I own it - but I have not played it yet
Your comments moved that sucker way up on my list of backlog games. :)

Just found this little JEM !!!

COD - all endings...

The ending for Halo Reach was fantastic. Its an endless battle with one objective: Survive. Its a mission you can't win, and your failure hits deep. its awesome.

Bioshock is always the first game that comes to mind when this topic is brought up. I’m sure there are better but Bioshock’s ending was great.

Hey guys, please re-read the OP...

Comments are OK if that is all ya' got, but we really want this to be a vid thread.

I'd have recommended to read my review on it beforehand. As it's a game with many issues, but the way they handled player choice in it is first class. I replayed the last level just to see how much my decisions affect the ending, and it's huge. But of course your earlier decisions matter as well, but I didn't go back to change those. And I made some terrible decisions a few times.

I read a lot about it when it was first released... waited for a sale.

I pretty much already know it is my kinda' game + some quirks.

Had some probs getting it started... I'm going in & did not read your review because I did not want spoilers!

Great beginning.... started as soldier - I look forward to the ending(s).

Max Payne 2's ending + credits is still to this day my all time fav.

Mirror's Edge comes in a close second with that amazing roll credits song.

Hotline Miami 2's ending + credits is also amazing. The game's soundtrack is probably my all time favorite soundtracks for a video game.

I make the best effort not to write anything that could be a spoiler, and when I do there is clear warning and it is behind a spoiler tag.
Anyway I can understand wanting to go in blind, I was just trying to give fair warning on what the game is like.

Soul Reaver 2 and Legacy of Kain: Defiance had some pretty awesome endings.

First Max Payne ending was superb IMO. I thought they really captured the "ahhhhhhh" after all that fighting and killing to finally be over and have won.

But my all time favorite ending for a video game is Mass Effect 3's Control Ending. Yes I'm well aware of all the controversy and hate about these endings but the Control Ending scene where Shepard dies is exceptionally well done and emotional especially if you're a huge fan of the games and have become attached and invested in the characters like I have over the years. The part where Shepard grabs the two terminals but is knocked back by the current, she struggles to get back to her feet and fights to grab them again. That part gets me. Saying fuck it and jumping into a beam or blowing shit up is a 1 time deal and easier to do because there's no going back. Here she has to physically struggle and fight through pain to do this and that makes it more heroic and a bigger sacrifice. The cut scenes of 3 of the OG characters along with the absolutely perfect score just adds to the tug on the heart strings. Then when she looks up and you see the character you've invested 100+ hours into, over 3 games and several years finally fade away and die, that hits ya right in the feels. I don't care about what comes after that, different colored lights or whatever....that one scene alone was a near perfect ending.

Do you want to keep trolling, or do you want to contribute to an interesting thread?
Well, "Best" is subjective, but here's my reasoning, since you seem interested:

That first one I posted was really amazing at the time... to see full-screen semi-realistic graphics like that was like O___O

The second one was such a relieving feeling... knowing I beat this intensly frustrating game and would never have to play it again...

Here is another one... again, no trolling, this was one of the most memorable game endings for me:
