FUCKING OCTOBER!???!?!

Yes I called Bestbuy and Verizon and they both said the 512 GB is backordered, earliest maybe is October?

What the fuck did we even have preorders for in the first place?

Samsung is making wonderful products but from a logistics standpoint are absolute critical mass retards.

Anyone else get a 512 yet?
 
A Verizon Samsung phone, yokes, that's a scary combo of bloatware and lagwiz.

Snapdragon version with sickening amount of carrier bloatware, compared to the clean Exynos version and no bloat. They operate almost like two different phones.

Cant get a exynos in the US that I'm aware of without some luck on Ebay or something.
 
Person in front of me walked out with one at best buy today.

I couldn't see moving from the s9+ I've been using. Also picked up the essential for cheap, and the z2 Force for like 120. Couldn't quite bite on the note 9 yet.

I've been a note user since the original note. I'll wait for the price to drop a tad on this one.

Not the 128GB... those are plentiful... Its the 512 models I am talking about. What state do you live in? that might have a lot to do with it right now. I am in Atlanta.

It was the 512gb model. I watched the entire transaction and activation. Happened in Michigan.

I preordered my 512GB Blue and 128GB Blue on August 10 with the BOGO Verizon offer and I received my 512GB on August 23rd and got the 128GB on August 25th. I was previously rocking the dying Note 4 so I am over the moon with my Note 9 and it was worth every penny of the price.

I was very angry when I made that post hence the cussing.

Well I pre ordered 9 days ago and I havent heard crap back from Verizon on where the phones are. I am glad you love it. I am moving from a small screen galaxy s7 to this hopefully unobtainium note 9.
 
Hopefully you will get it before too long. My wife went from the S7 to the Note 9. At first (before we ordered) she was worried about it being too big, but now that she has it she can't imagine going back to the smaller screen. My son is stuck with the smaller screen. :)

At first Verizon messed up my wife's 128 GB, they told me both phones would ship together. When I got my first package, I knew it was too light for too phones, and lo and behold only my 512GB. Then after about an hour on the phone they told me the charge for the sales tax on the 128GB (the free VZ offer one) did not go through so it didn't ship and they NEVER notified me that the charge didn't go through. I raised heck and they ran the charges through again and then FedEx Overnighted the 128 GB. I was unhappy but they at least did get it resolved very quickly.

Oh well now the excitement over the new phone has been replaced by College Football season is upon us!
 
Dropped in vzw today. Middle oct they say. What the fuck was the point in pre ordering.

Samsung never gets these note phones right. Note 7 was a migraine for me.
 
Yup, just placed an order today for the note 9 with 512gb with verizon wireless.

Now I have to wait to October 14th to get the phone. They have the 128gb version but you have to wait for the 512gb. I'm from NY.

Now I have to rock my note 3 for another month and a half.
 
Can I ask you guys why do you want the 512gb and not just get the 128gb?

I'm tempted to just get the 128gb and not wait around for the 512gb.

Do you really think we honestly need so much memory?

Yes and they have 8gb ram on the 512. I am going to use a dex dock keyboard mouse and use it as a computer when I get home.

Yep, got my 512gb AT&T Blue from Best Buy on the 24th (Pre-Ordered on the 10th of August). Delivered to my house on the 24th.

I own a S9+ too for my work phone, and the Note 9 is much better.

Don't wait till the last minute to pre-order or you will be waiting in line. Next time order on the day it opens up.

That shouldn't be a factor. If your going to allow pre orders then you best have the inventory to sustain said preorders.
 
I love it. It's fast and fluid. I had a Note 8, then iPhone X, and now Note 9. I think the 9 is the best phone so far I have owned.

I think Samsung did not expect the huge demand for the 512gb model. They expected it to be the 128gb model. But either way, even with Apple, they sell out on all their phones and you have to wait till they catch up with demand. It happens with any release usually.

I guess in the end it isn't that big of a deal. Hell I would get the phone and the newness would be over after like a day then it would be like, why worry for this? lol

I just expected to replace my cracked screen s7 for a new one because im tired of looking at this broke ass glass. But I have to wait another month. But its ok now. Im over it. I will just wait and then enjoy the thing when I get it.

In the meantime I have other things to work on, and as far as hobby, I am contemplating building a Threadripper 2 which will be a nice little time sink.

I'm not a huge fan of Samsung in general but I have to admit that the Note 9 is tempting. I'll wait to see what Apple has coming out on the 12th.

Thats mostly what I want. Its hard to get out of the ecosystem when all my friends and family are there. My X was nice.... but I miss the plus size phones.

Well, I understand that. My whole family has iPhones. I am the stray one that has left for the Note. I use to love the Plus size iPhones, but to me, I see the locked down side of iOS and love the freedom I get with my Note. It is worth getting rid of imessage imho.
 
The only gripe I have about the 512 gb version is that dual band GPS are coming out soon. These will allow a much more precise location down to less than a foot which will make the GPS much better. Think about knowing exactly what lane you are in and less issues with GPS going off route.

Most of us will have to update our phones sooner than later because of this, this won't be a phone you will have for 5+ years. Might as well save the $250 and upgrade the phone when the better GPS is out.

I use a real garmin trail GPS which will run circles around a cell phone. But my usage scenario is mine and not someone elses, we are all different.

Yes, I prefer in my car to use my garmin GPS also. This is the only thing that makes me feel better about buying the note 9 with the inferior GPS.

However, still sucks because I plan to use my phone for GPS when vacationing in south east Asia, would be nice to have the better GPS as I'm using my phone to get everywhere.
 
Just wanted to add this, I guess the 512GB will have better resale value so it should make up for most of the $250 difference in price, so of course it wouldn't be a total loss here.

I think from past experience that upgrading to the best components usually works out better on resale to the point it makes up most of the higher purchase price.
 
Ordered the 512gb blue note 9 through verizon and it said it will arrive Oct 15, not so mad because no one can do anything about it, also am getting the iphone xs max and its arriving oct 5, both backordered
