THE PREDATOR Final Trailer (2018)

The continual destruction of great 20th century sci-fi is alive and well. Fuck Hollywood.
 
it is funny how different trailers can paint a very different picture of a movie. The first teaser trailer wasn't as bad. This one is terrible.

If I recall the story here correctly this autistic boy buys an alien weapon (probably from something that happen in the first two movies) on ebay thinking it is a toy. It arrives and while playing with it he turns on the SOS signal which summons the other ships down to earth. That is when the team gets killed and all this in this trailer happens.

Yep, comfortably skipping...like I knew I would be when it was first announced.

Yep. But as someone pointed out to me on another thread, Shane Black was actually IN the first Predator movie (spoiler alert - he dies). So I guess we have to give it a chance.

But I do want it to be somewhat serious, not a def jam comedy commando tour Predator movie.

It'll be out for rental before the end of the year anyway.

It looks soo fucking terrible lol, how did this get funding?....

Also, the Predators need to hire better pilots.

Why? What's him being in the movie got anything to do with anything? Is he some expert or something to a fake alien race?
 
Looks like a straight-to-dvd movie to me. If this was made 20 years ago they would call it Predator 2000 and have the who's who of shitty teen actors of that generation with club music blaring the entire time.
 
the first trailers were good, this one just feels like an action montage of the predators weapons and actors/actresses in the movie vs actually showing anything important in the movie.. not going to throw it under the bus just yet if that's what this trailer was actually trying to do.
 
The fact there is not a single mary sue in sight or yet another spiderman to the power of 10 million; the golden years, makes it worthwhile out of what's for dinner from the movie scene these days.

I agree with your point however at this time in the Lore humans have seen predators before and their weapons, that fear is no longer going to be as it was the first time.

As a race/species, sure, mankind has seen them. But 99.9% of actual people would still have no idea what these towering alien motherfuckers, shooting plasma bolts and jumping from tree to tree while invisible, actually are. They should still be terrified.

This looks fucking dreadful. Also, this third trailer looks like a complete tonal shift from the previous ones, which suggests that there may have been some reworking to the film since the early stages. But regardless, it looks absolutely shite.

It looks and feels like the crap Hollywood keeps churning out lately, as if last few Predator rehashes weren't bad enough. They are trying to milk a dead cow...
 
I quit watching after the hip hop bullshit "music". Good potential movie wrecked by teenage humor and shit sound track.
 
Don't normally watch the trailers, because it ruins the movie, but with all the bashing, had to watch it.

Ya, it looks terrible. They should have not released this last trailer, which shows what it really is like.
 
Did you guys see the news today (I think?). Apparently Shane Black hired a friend to do a bit walk on role but said friend turned out to be a convicted wannabe pedo (he tried to lure a 14 year old girl but got caught before he actually did anything ... as far as we know).

What is it with Hollywood and all these pedoes?
 
I just got the Predator collection from Amazon in 4k BR - Predator, Predator 2 and Predators. Great audio but video (on the 1st two) are on the grainy side. I'm guessing the masters / originals are what they are.

film can be grainy so it will get transferred too.
 
Why have the creators of Alien, Predator, Aliens, etc. completely MISSED THE POINT with the sequels?

Predator: A movie about tough-as-nails commando guys filled to the ears with grade-A American testosterone get literally torn apart one by one by an invisible, terrifying force much stronger and more powerful than them. Only one man, using his brains and cunning can survive.

Predator sequels: LOOK ACTION BOOM EFFECTS BLOOD AWESOME

Alien - replace one guy with gal and you have Aliens as well. I liked Alien 3. Not sure why it was disliked so much.

This crappy movie comes out tomorrow. 41% Rotten.
 
Naked Olivia Munn for the entire movie couldn't get me to watch this dreck.
