CONFIRMED. nVidia RTX 2080 Ti 50% faster in games over the 1080 Ti!

Well, considering your example was talking about energy efficiency.. but here, this leaked 3dmark score shows that there is only a 7% increase in performance over the 1080ti.. no where near 50%

Ah makes sense now. You clearly didn't read my original post, that's why your response seemed so nonsensical.

You mean the one the one I quoted and originally responded too, as I didn't see one prior. I took it as though you where "supporting" the idea that the 2080 will have 50% performance increase, if that wasn't the case, my apologies.

Nope, complete opposite. I was saying Nvidia made the same claims for Volta as they are for Turing. So chances are, no IPC increase from Volta.

Also these new timespy leaks confirm that from Videocardz.

If 2080 is 10,000, then 2080 Ti will be about 14,000 to 15,000.

Titan V already hits 14,500 with a minor clockspeed boost on crappy FE cooler, and the 2080 Ti will be using an open air cooler.

It’s really simple.
Put up or shut up.

Here's a recent podcast with Nvidia's Tom Petersen:

It contains some good Q&A info not clarified elsewhere.

Some take aways being:

1. Up to a %50 uplift in traditional rastorizing performance at 4k from GTX1080->RTX2080, GTX1080TI->2080TI

2. MSRP will be reached by budget friendly AIB cards as supply increases in the near future.

3. NVlink is the foundation of NVIDIAs future efforts to revolutionize how we view multi-gpu compute in gaming. (The succesor of SLI). They will announce their future plans for multi-gpu at a later date.

3.5. NVLINK supports normal SLI for new and legacy titles

4. The 2070 will not support NVLINK (or sli?) Because of basicly market segmentation and easier support

5. Raytracing coded within videogames will be based on an open standard NVIDIA developed with Microsoft. (Should be possible to add compatibility with AMD cards)

5.5. Older GPUs should be able to attempt running raytracing, however their performance will likely be quite poor.

6. The tensor cores can be used for anything game developers can think of using them for. Not just fancy AA

7. The 2080TI has roughly 10 gigarays on average. The 1080TI can only create 1 gigarays on average. This is because the 1080TI has to software emulate to create gigarays while the 2080TI has dedicated hardware to make it much more efficient.

Gigarays are a rough observation of a GPUs ability to handle raytracing.

From that same video linked 2 posts above, direct quotes:

NVIDIA Director of Technical Marketing, Tom Petersen:
"roughly somewhere between 35 to 45 percent better at roughly the same generation. So, 1080 Ti to 2080 Ti and of course that’s going to vary based on the game and based on the setting.”

You don't know how to quit do you. Are you seriously busting out the 4K vs UHD thing? Get a life, grow up, use critical thinking and learn to read better.

You show me where I used this "* AORUS said - More useless banter*" I can't see it unless you edit it yourself? are you really seriously too you don't know that difference between 4K vs UHD is? and you are the same member who told me my Poll sucks.? You need to get out more
