RTX 2080 - 2080 Ti - 2070 Full Specifications Revealed

Does anybody find it odd that there aren't any benchmarks out for these cards yet? Least I haven't seen any... I know [H] will have to wait for retail cards due to NPP BS...

No, there are never benchmarks right when they announce it.

I'd say the prices are an indicator of where NV anticipates the review site benches will fall.

I can't believe all the sold-out pre-orders, it's insane. People are buying these things based on nothing but marketing hype.

It's sad what nvidia is doing. I was enjoying my 660ti's in SLI for a long time but when I went to 4k gaming I needed something better. In canada though the only option was the 1070's since they were the only lower end cards that supported SLI. Nvidia screwed the low end customers with no SLi version of the 1060's. Took me a year of saving money to buy 2 1070ti's to finally get my 4k gaming working good. Now I see Nvidia did it again only SLi option is the 2080's and up now no mid ranged at all. Total BS.

Just as an example the 1070ti's cost me over 1600.00 dollars that alot of money. Now the 2080ti if I bought 2 in canada today it would be 3585.00 plus shipping I could buy a used car for that. Nvidia totally screwing the little guy.

These are high-end and enthusiast range hardware. Midrange will be announced sometime in the future. It probably won't have RTX, though, but I don't think it's affordable to be put in the midrange yet. These are big chips, meaning fewer dies per silicon wafer and likely a higher ocurrence of low yields. Silicon wafers are not cheap.

What was the price difference between two 1060's and one 1080 Ti? They gave you a hint. And you could have bought a 1440p g-sync IPS monitor.

At 4K the GTX 1060 also gets 16 FPS in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided according to Techpowerup. 32 in GTA V everything set to very high and MSAA off. August 7th 2018 review of the MSI RX 580 Mech. 8700K @ 4.8 GHz. If SLI were possible it would still crawl.

Pretty much. I'm waiting on deep cuts to the 1070+ line or a reasonably priced 2060. I've already held onto my 280X this long, no reason I can't wait a bit longer.

Here's an interesting cut to an Nvidia youtube video where the engineer talks about non-ray tracing performance / old software performance:

Looking at the wattage:

before - after
2080 => 2070 (185w)
(nothing) => 2080 (215w)
Titan => 2080Ti (250w)

So considering that, a $599 2070 makes more sense since it's really the replacement in the 185w bracket. 2080 is a new product, and Titans are $1199 as we know. Which makes one wonder if "2080+" will be the classic xx80Ti part that might pop up later. Or, this might be the new ladder, and that's why it all dropped at once, and ain't nobody getting a discounted trimmed Titan any longer.

I did ask a contact over at NVIDIA about overclocking these cards and actually got a response.

Mileage will vary by chip... but the thermal headroom on the board and cooler is much larger than past FEs. The clock headroom is also pretty nice.

It seems that NVIDIA is also rolling out a new overclocking tool, referred to as "Scanner," of its own that is a bit more "sciency." No NDA signed by us, so that is all I got. :) Do I dare say we see 1900MHz+ clock speeds with good cooling again?

So that looks like around ~45% average FPS increase, not too bad. The 2080Ti over 1080Ti should be about the same. So that would put the 2080Ti around 10% faster than the Titan V if it scales linearly.
