BF V (RTX) demo looks pretty nice... wouldn't it be interesting to see a side by side with RTX vs Vega the image results... have to wonder what all the AMD staffers are thinking about this launch event.

Welp congratulations to those who bought, should be an excellent card and it looks like the FE is even better than ever.

HDMI 2.0b in listed in the official GTX 2080ti page. 1 more generation of peddling Gsync for $1,200 cards.

BF1 demo is the first demo that made me go 'ok thats pretty tits'
Yeah, the BFV demo is pretty impressive.

EDIT: Also, the first thing I DON'T turn off are shadows, reflection quality, etc. online or in a singleplayer game. They hit performance hard, but they add so much to the games. This raytracing is actually pretty impressive.

$1200 for a 2080Ti? $700 for the 2070? Yeah, no. I may be on my last gaming PC, and if anyone is due for an upgrade it's my old box.

im seeing 599 on nvidia for the 2070 i will wait until msi and asus release their versions probably for 650 which is absurd

I really like this incredible amount of computing power, the fact there are working APIs and games are being designed for it.
That BF5 demo stuff is awesome.

But I can't justify a $1200, or even a $900 video card. So I'm hoping the 2070 will be good for delivering this on a 1200 to 1440 resolution with solid 60+ fps; I'm willing to spend $500 or so on that.

I think I'll just hold on to my 1080 Ti for another generation or so. The ray tracing thing is neat, but the prices are too high to be worth it. It's strictly e-peen value from where I'm sitting.

Of course, Kyle's review might change my mind. We'll see.

There isn't a $900 model.

They're just showing the cards now and they've been long sold out on Nvidia's site already. :ROFLMAO:

The real-time ray tracing is pretty cool, as shown in the BF5 demo. Don't really think it's worth $800 - $1200 for top tier (RTX 2080, Ti), though.

The price does remind me of the 8800 Ultra @ $830+, though ...

Side note: Jensen sounds like an poorly paid promoter; makes me wonder just how much "gaming" he does, these days (I'm tempted to think that he probably plays more games on his smartphone, than on a computer). Maybe he's just not a good speaker.

On shelf sept 20th supposedly... welll I will be definitely picking up a evga part

Joke's on the crowd: its already sold out lol

What makes you think he would be a gamer? He runs a successful multi billion dollar company. A lot of ceo could give two fucks about what they are selling.

499$ 2070, 699$ 2080, 999$ 2080ti.. was expected.. the 1200$ price was what? some placeholder shit?

Actually Jensen did a lot of gaming with us back in the day when I worked there. So its safe to say he still does some casual gaming today.

Well, in this case, he's "selling" a gaming product to a gaming audience ... would be nice if he didn't sound like such a bad salesperson :)
