Not surprised. People will still buy them. I mean people were paying nearly this much for 1080tis during the mining craze peak.

Yeah...cause they made them money. Very few were buying just to game...

Seriously...$600 for the 2070? Isn't that like 970/1070 tier of previous generations?

What are these doing again that are leaps and bounds beyond what we have now? Why wouldn't I get a 1080Ti used for ~$500?

In other words...this is fucking stupid.

I'm also good on that. I'm all for tech, but that's a pretty serious pricetag for what is probably marginal incremental performance increase.

It's important to keep in mind that the 1080ti represented very favorable value at msrp at launch. Still.

I wonder how many miners are putting off their next mazarati to buy dozens of these. Hopefully they help drive the price down for the rest of us? NAAAAA. Nvidia will just throttle release rates and make everyone pay a premium.

Paper lunch AND $1200 US DOLLARS? Did nVidia learn nothing form Sony's PS3 announcement fiasco?

They have lost their minds at those prices, either their yields suck or they have gone full on greedy.

Most likely both, and it's going to stay that way for the next 2 years. Intel's card isn't out until 2020, and AMD can't get their shit together on the graphics side of the house.

LOL.... Okay I see they have cards priced for reality impaired miners.... but what about the rest of humanity?

I still have a ROG 1080Ti I got for about $700 right when it came out before mining forced them into 4 figures $$$. I think I will also sit this generation out. I don't even game. I run triple screens and just like having fast hardware. As someone else said, somebody will probably buy them. Personally I think it would be hilarious if no one wanted them and they ended up sitting on a mountain of stock.... How much profit is enough????

For that price tag, it better be double the performance of the 1080ti. If it is, then I think the price may not be terrible.
But generally- Fuck all that noise

I called $800 on the 1180/2080 part many months back. People thought that was crazy.
No - there was just no reason Nvidia would price a card faster than the 1080TI for less than MSRP on the 1080TI - (which until the last 2-3 weeks was still selling like hotcakes).

Though, I did miss when they would launch it. I was suspecting April'ish.
