Chinese Engineer Steals Technology from American Firm to Smuggle to China

Hope your not refering to military and your talking about a specific company because I have a lot of concuring opinions from the 2.

I hope wherever you work they take it seriously and dont allow materials off site.

I don't know why you say it this way. I did get my clearance as a result of military service. And I don't get what you mean by allowing materials "off-site". The Military does take classified materials to locations that are "off-site" because sometimes their work is "in the field" and not always from within a hardened and secured facility. It doesn't mean that protective measures aren't taken, but the job has to get done and sometimes it's done by small teams from remote locations.

As for the military's relationship to corporate espionage, there are two major angles to the issue;
1st is the "Actor" and althogh the military, or I should say DoD, may not care about corporate espionage against a company like Google for instance, State Sponsored espionage is always their concern.

2nd is the target, Government Activities, Employees, etc, Military targets, National Infrastructure, Financial Institutions, Defense Contractors, Companies involved in protected information like encryption services or proprietary information that could be used to damage US Business interests in the global marketplace are all important. The DoD doesn't just exist to protect itself, it exists to protect our nation and it's interests in the world.

Seems like every week there is news about China stealing tech from the US. It is too bad many US politicians aren't too concerned.

I was on a discord server with 2 other individuals, one guy was streaming and the other was just chatting with him.
The conversation brought up china and the guy mentioned how china was known for IP Theft.
The streamer who is Canadian threatened to ban him because he was making a racist statement about china.
I laughed and indicated that China has been accused of IP theft for decades and asked if he wanted proof.
Pathetic, self-loathing Whites are the worst. The fall of the West will be caused by these indoctrinated weaklings who cheer on their own demographic replacement all across the Western world.

Here's a thought. Hire American workers rather than Chinese H1B's and you'll have less espionage/stolen IP concerns.
Bigger problem is Indian contracting companies mass importing Indians as they gain the contact system and American companies using them to lower wages and destroy the nation's investment into our intellectual future. The H1B and other employment visa programs need to be demolished and destroyed.

I don't care what their name is or their skin color or the slant of their eyes. Being an American isn't about any of those things. Being an American is about doing what so many of you do hear every day in this forum. It's about back principles and fairness and ethical behavior, about not being a dick to others. Assholes are fine, but dicks are just dicks.

I think you get it.

And there is always a chance I missed some sarcasm here so give me a break if I did (y)
Hate to burst your progressive bubble, but things like "the melting pot" are recent inventions that have be subversively injected into the American psyche. Just like the "being me your poor" placard in the Statue of Liberty, the story of what America was and is has been actively rewritten, just like the demographics have been for the last 5 decades after the intentional demographic replacement that began with the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 that ensured Whites would be a minority population in America within a century. In fact, Whites will be a minority in virtually every White nation by the end of this century, and most long before that, thanks to the orchestrated demographic replacement currently in play. (The numbers do not lie, so don't lie to yourself about this.)

Burst my "progressive bubble"?

You don't know who you are talking to, but I don't mind enlightening you. I'll start with the facts.

I'm 58, we still said the Pledge of Allegiance and practiced for nuclear attacks by getting under our school desks;

I grew up in West Texas, the Bible Belt, home of dry counties and Buddy Holly;

I spent 3 years at Texas Tech University getting 2 years worth of an education, Disco made life so hard. I enlisted in the Army in 1981, went to Korea and married a Korean girl, our 35th Anniversary was just a few days ago. My two daughters, half White half Asian daughters, are hot in that half-asian way, (or at least daddy thinks so).

One married a American of Mexican descent, at least his mother was actually from Mexico, his Dad is a Chicano through in through. But they have those Mexican Catholic family values and I was happy, the boy is smart, works hard, wife and I love him.

The first president I was old enough to vote for was Ronald Reagan, and since then I have voted almost solidly Republican to include Donald Trump. I retired from the US Army in 98, worked as a defense contractor since then for companies like L3, Northrup Grumman, CSC, Raytheon, SAIC, NCI, and now Semper Valens Solutions.

I have driven 1970 Lemans with a 455, a GT 3000 SL, 328i, and today my Challenger R/T Hemi. I don't care much for conserving resources like gas, I figure the sooner we burn it all up the sooner we'll move on to something better.

There is nothing about me that is "progressive" by any definition I have heard. There was never anything wrong with the melting pot, my Korean wife doesn't even want to go back and live in Korean even though I could get a very well paying job there and she could stop working. She's too free and happy here, she's too Americanized to want to return to a culture that would put what they put on women again. There was never a problem with the melting pot. The problem was when people started insisting that immigrants shouldn't have to "melt", that they should maintain their cultural identities and the government should support other languages and not insist on English as a capacity that our citizens need to work toward acquiring.

So while I think we have some similar views on some things, I also think you have pinned the wrong fucking tail on the wrong fucking jackass :sneaky:

As for immigration policy, I think you need a closer look at it.

In a basic sense, when you look at these tables for Family and employment based visas, understand that none of these are the numbers of people being allowed in. These are the numbers of applicants trying to get visas. My understanding is that every country has a country limit, a fixed number that can not be exceeded except under very special conditions. Not more than 7% of any applicant group can be granted a visa and that 7% number can not exceed the country limit set for that country.

There are 5 Family Based category groups and 5 employment based category groups. Let's use South Korea as an example because I like that one. South Korea will fall in the Other category for the Family Based groups and they have a group listed under employment based. There are 217 South Korean applicants in the Employment First category which represents 3.9% of the total. All of them will be granted entry as this is not 7% yet. Now we move to Employment 2nd and there are 1,439 applicants representing 8.6% so almost half of them will get in, and that's when the door shuts for the rest regarding Employment Visas, The Family Based Visas will work the same way except they didn't list the numbers for Family Based Visa applicants from South Korea. Lastly, there is a per-country limit in place and if the total number of Employment and Family based Visas exceed this limit, they won't all get in this year and will remain on the list waiting for next year.

If you want to know if you are correct or in your views, then you need to go find out what those per-country limits are. I haven't found them yet is what I am saying. I've shown you the basics of how the system works, it's up to you to dig for the rest of you care enough.

Since you haven't replied yet, I have more to add. As far as I am concerned my family are part of the solution, not the problem. Mix'em all up I say, the sooner to get past this racial bullshit.

Your skin color is not your culture. My wife comes from a very racist culture. It's naturally that way, perfectly understandable reasons for it. South Korea is definitely not a racial "melting pot". They simply do not grow up exposed to different races, but different cultures? Yes, South Korea has been a huge consumer of western culture for decades. It's like they want so bad to become westerners it's crazy. The country is experiencing an almost constant shift and I hope they can somehow pull it off without completely forgetting all the things about their old selves that make them a super people to know.

But the biggest thing to keep in mind is that they are who they are ... for a reason. Their racial issues will soften with exposure and need and that will come much slower. But for now I think it would be hard to reconcile the picture below with a people who are actually very bigoted against black people.
