Trying to boost performance of an anemic E350

Dunno about that reg entry, but it might be worth it to upgrade to faster RAM if you can. And if it's an old laptop with a cooling fan, you should try cleaning the vents with canned air.

Lol really just give up with a cpu that slow. I had one of those back in 2012 and even then they were considered pitiful. Even a SINGLE core of a modern cpu would be over 2.5 times faster than what both of your cores can produce. Heck even an entry level smartphone would have a much faster cpu.

I have an old HP 2000-329WM with an AMD E350, 8 GB 1066 Ram, & 480 GB SSD.

Boot times have decreased significantly since the change to an SSD from the failing 5400 rpm HDD. However for general use, it's not any different.

Was looking at ways to boost performance since overclocking is out of the question. Any opinions on this trick?

Try fusion tweaker or similar apps. I have My llano overclocked from 1.5 ghz to to 2.5 ghz with an undervolt.

try throttlestop maybe but I doubt youll get much improvement, as mentioned that cpu is a turd.
