Destiny 2

Gah! Just saw this was in the PC sub forum. I just saw the alert that the thread was responded to lol.

Carry on, members of the Master Race!

That was a lot of fun. We'll be back at it again tonight at 7:30PM EST.

We could use some more help for escalation protocol, so if anyone else is down, please post up. Domingo we could use your help again tonight. We got the boss down to like 3% after you left.

I'll do my best - I have a work picnic that might leave me coming in a little late :) I only had about 35 minutes to play last night, so I was a little surprised...but that was a lot of fun! A friend of mine told me that you pretty much have to have everyone go ape on that final boss right away or you'll get stuck in a perpetual healing loop. I'll hold on to my grenades and super next time. I figure I'll probably swap to the Sleeper Simulant prior to that portion as well. Heavy ammo was everywhere, but my Single Clap wasn't doing squat.

I'll see about getting hooked up on Discord as well.

If anyone else is game to try this again, we're going to play again Saturday morning and I might pop on around the same time tonight.

I need to do the Nightfall and/or Heroic strikes. I'm clearly the weak one in that group and need to get my PL up so I can actually help next time, lol. If anyone is looking to help me run the Nightfall tonight that would be awesome.

If I'm on tonight I'll play some strikes and nightfall. Am so burned out on all of the current missions that I want to blow through them as quickly as possible :p

Anyone with the Whisper sniper rifle available to run the event some time this evening? I also have the weapon, but im looking to run a few [H] clan members through the mission. High PL will do if you dont have the weapon.

The first patch for Season 2 apparently hits today. Should be interesting to see what the new weapon loadouts lead to in both PvE and PvP. I've barely had any chance to play in the last 10 days, so I'm going to be rusty as hell.

I imagine its going to completely change the game in pvp. Should be interesting to see.

BTW we got just about all the remaining active clan members the Whisper last weekend. Hopefully we can get you one soon.

Im looking forward to be able to use sniper rifles in my secondary slot again. Poor thigns never got used compared to D1 because they just wern't worth giving up your heavy weapon slot.

I should have a few minutes to play tonight, but this weekend I should hopefully be wide open. No more work travel for at least a month, so it's gonna be Forsaken time until RDR2 hits.

I have to admit I was hoping to be able to rock both a sword and the Sleeper Simulant, but apparently it doesn't work that way.
I guess my main wish at this point is to make SMG's great again. Back at the beginning of the year I was hell on wheels with the Mida Mini Tool and Antiope-D. For that matter, for a little while I just ran around using nothing but SMG's (and swords) in the Crucible. Now basically all of them lose to just about anything unless you're point blank and you get the first shot. My K/D ratio dropped by like 20% overnight when the Vigilance Wing death patch hit.

I ran out of space. Had to uninstall other stuff, like DOOM 2016. Sigh. Wifey's PC is still downloading it.

It's probably all of the new expansion whether you buy it or not.

Feels like there are some bugs going on. It looks like there's a weekly milestone on Mars, but it doesn't seem to track %'s as far as I can tell.
I hopped on for 30 minutes and managed to actually complete all 7 levels of Escalation Protocol with a random group. Having both a shotgun and a rocket launcher at the same time can't be overestimated! So far I'm liking the setup of Perfect Paradox, Graviton Lance (no big surprise), and Blue Shift. Feels like that covers all distances really well. No clue about Crucible, but I'm going to roll with that in PvE for the time being.
What I do NOT like is the required grind to upgrade literally all of your gear. I'm not feeling having to grind 10 random items on a random planet just to boost my helmet by a single point.

O man, yeah. Needing planetary materials to infuse gear is already super annoying.

As for the mars flashpoint, I "completed" it with a whole 2% done. Its definitely bugged.

If they're going to make us patrol random planets all of the time, I hope there will be more quest events tied to them. Collecting random shards in the EDZ is about as exciting as paint drying. Yet the early portion of the game has you exploring huge sections of the map and discovering things for the sake of the game's story. I'd like to see more of that. Kind of like less repetitious strikes or actually making Ikora's old missions worth a damn.

Lots of bugs -

Just reading the subreddit and Twitter, there were Forsaken weapons dropping for some Mars patrols, odd hand cannon bloom/targeting issues, and so on. XP is bugged maybe? The bar disappears and they claim it's a display issue. I just... lose track of this kind of stuff.

Yeah, I got another 20-30 minutes last night and lots of things seem "off." I guess it could be worse (waiting for 9/4 to get anything new), but there are definitely some issues.
I haven't messed around much, but I saw some articles this morning about the re-alignment of weapons causing major balance issues. Apparently the Fighting Lion and Telesto are flat-out overwhelming as normal weapons with tons of ammo.
I'm still liking the Perfect Paradox as a first tier weapon in PvE. Ammo drops pretty consistently so it's wholesale slaughter on any enemies you face up-close. Bosses included. I don't think it'll be that great for Crucible, though. It's usually a 2-shotter unless they changed it.

This week is bizarro week. You can get forsaken drops from the flashpoint turn in … but if you are of a certain power level you get drops that you cant equip. Also I swear I hear the Zenith of your kind shotgun blast in my sleep now, as everyone is using it, in the second slot, in crucible.

Looking for a few players for my clan to bulk up the roster a bit for Foresaken launch.

Gaige#11139 I'm on most days. We raid around 7pm pst.

Man I almost are terrible for queing in the crucable on the PS4 right now. So many new players I couldn't get a negative kd if I used my tongue for movement lol. So far my goto build in crucable has been "a single clap" sniper from the raid, the graviton lance and a rocket launcher and I have been doing very well. Last few matches I have been between 2 & 8 k/d every round lol

Isn't the Single Clap in the same slot as the Graviton Lance...or is it random where legendary drops fall? The only old heavy weapon I have in my main slot is the Perfect Paradox.

nope, my single clap is in my first slot with guns like the vigilance wing and graviton lance is in the second one. Makes for a really nice mid-long range loadout and some pretty hectic close encounters, I'd say 75% of my deaths are people rushing me in close quarters and me just not being able to deal with it lol

Interesting. I guess that leads to some interesting potential loadouts. I wonder if it's doing that per character (or class) or if it's just straight up random. I do still like the idea of having a shotgun as my main weapon, but a sniper could be fun. Both could work really well depending on the level or how you play.

ya, Ive never been a big fan of shotguns lol, this new slot system has made this game way more fun for me. Now instead of just using only my gracviton lance or vigilance wing and never touching anything else I actually utilize both weapons and experiment with alot of weapons. Another good one is the suros regime and a sniper in the second slot, suros does some good damage now and competes very well

Very interesting. I never liked that gun very much. I think I'm just looking forward to load-outs that aren't just Better Devils and the Graviton Lance. Not that I hate either weapon, but it gets a little old when everyone is doing the same things.
My favorite gun is probably the Skyburner's Oath, so I hope it's decent now. It has always been passable in PvE, but it kinda sucks in the Crucible. I'm also hoping for Nightstalkers not to suck in the Crucible. How about some invincibility on the arrow animation for once?

Ill try it out tonight and let you know how the oath works in pvp, I know prepatch I could do OK but it wasnt nearly as good a the meta weapons lol
