AMD has unveiled its latest workstation graphics card, the WX 8200, at the Siggraph 2018 graphics conference. Aimed toward the visualization market (e.g., creating high-end animations, VR, CAD), the company claims it can beat the performance of the NVIDIA Quadro P5000 and P4000 in media and entertainment applications. The cards start at $1,000.

AMD said that visualization demand is rising in markets such as media, manufacturing, and architecture. The WX 8200 cards have 56 compute units that can perform at up to 11 teraflops, with support for 8K displays. It can support eight gigabytes of high-bandwidth 2 memory. A number of software partners — from Autodesk to Adobe — have certified that their software works with the new cards.

Waiting for a competitive graphics card....

When it takes 2 of your flagship cards to even ATTEMPT to challenge your competitors card, your not doing very good.

how is this different from vega fe?

The FE has 64 CU's and 16Gb of 1.89GBs HBM2. 1600MHz boost.
The WX 8200 has 56 CU's and 8Gb of 2.0GBs SK Hynix "Gen 2" HBM2 that is good for up to 2.4GBs, hence giving the card up to 512GB/sec of memory bandwidth. 1500MHz boost.

That looks pretty slick actually. These cards are not cheap and if it can keep up with a p4000/p5000 for $1000 that would be amazing. A P1000 will easily keep up with a Titan card which is pretty amazing.

yea but does it mine? (queue pyscho raging in 3...2....)

Where is Vega 20 and its four HBM stacks? We should be seeing a WX 9200 soon.
