GTX 1080 owners who want a consistent 60 FPS experience in Capcom’s Monster Hunter World at 1440p are out of luck unless they turn down their graphical settings: according to a Resetera member, that GPU will see dips to 44 to 50 FPS if the highest preset is chosen. The graphics aren’t a massive upgrade over the console version, so many are calling this another lazy port.
Do note the numbers appear to be minimum framerates, as the user provided a comparison between the highest settings with and without Volume Rendering Quality, and the game was running at 78 FPS. Still, it’s pretty obvious that PC gamers will need a GTX1080Ti in order to play it at 1440p, despite the fact the game’s visuals are similar to those found in the console version.
