then i think the next best action to refocus on Marathon and XS can enjoy an unchallenged win ... do I sound frustrated ?

I'm all in for team effort; but with no validation it is hard ... anyway: I keep the C@H open with high priority on docker and see what comes in ... other projects are in fallback mode and kicking when no docker is around ...

I was hoping that with this many people pulling legacy tasks that they would validate faster. Turns out its a validator issue, not wingman, which is unfortunate.

Well there is that then. I did not abort mine.... it is still running tasks. I had just told it to not get any new ones. I'll open it back up and let it run through the weekend anyways. Maybe I'll get credit next month or something.

I think he must be fiddling with it some trying to get the validation issue fixed. I've had 9 more units get validated and credited and it appears the validation script is running on their server again for right now anyways so maybe we will get some decent credit in for the sprint itself too.

Including what I have running right now I have 45 tasks waiting validation and and hour and 45 minutes left in the sprint. Methinks the majority of what I still have will not get validated in time considering there are still over 67,000 waiting validation. lol

Regardless, props to Marius who runs this project for busting his ass and getting the legacy validator fixed when he did.

Edit to add.... and with that I've set it for no new tasks. Not too big on creating a lot of extra heat this time of the year. Freaking electric bill here at my shop is running around $1800 a month right now. :banghead:

Edit again - my final numbers. 33,918 credit as of 6PM EST. I'll still get a bunch more credit for another 51 tasks over the next day or so but that will not count for the sprint. Either way - all good and fun. :)

Get ready. Next sprint project will be announced this Wed, Jul 25th 3pm/6pm PT/ET.

After that a good 4 weeks of rest.

I saw that it was 4 days from now and let out an audible sigh. I can't wait for a break lol

Hope it's a GPU project. These last few haven't been all that fun for me.

I mean that's cool, but I'm still convinced that Ryzen 3xxx is gonna be a 12 core part. And TR is helpful for us because the extra pcie lanes and physical 16x slots. Can't get that on regular Ryzen.

I may be insane, but I loved this 1950X sale so much, I just ordered a second, identical system. That should considerably add to my daily output. Look out Phoenicis! :D

I can't believe I am building my first AMD systems since the Athlon 64 X2 I built back in 2005. So glad AMD is truly competitive - and even better by some measures - with Intel again.

Threadripper #1 was built today and is already crunching. #2 should arrive tomorrow and I will have it online by the weekend. Shooting for the start of the sprint, but work and family commitments may intervene.

O

Okay nice, how's it been for you? I've only had liqtech and then custom loop on TR so far. I seriously dig TR though. Like biggest wow computing moment I've had since idk maybe Athlon 64.
So far, so good. It's keeping the CPU temp at ~60-62deg at stock clocks and voltage. It obviously won't cool as as well as a water solution, but I prefer the simplicity and long-term reliability of air for my 24x7 crunchers.
