Haven't seen much about this on here.

Anybody play this? Is it worth a try?

Im a pretty casual gamer and have never tried a turn-based RPG before.

But my wife and I have been dabbling in Dungeons and Dragons and are always looking for a couch co-op/split screen game to play together.

Are the graphics decent?

Thought this might be a good option to try. On sale for $35.99 on Steam.

Edit- Also- could my wife's G4400/1060 3GB run this @ 1440p?

I gave it a try but ended up switching back to Diablo 3. Game mechanics are bit slower so does the gameplay.

That's because D:OS 2 is a different type of game. Diablo 3 is an ARPG while Divinity is a CRPG. So it sounds like you'd be more into games like Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, and other similar titles.

If you want a classic CRPG in the modern age that actually lets you cheat, glitch, kill anyone, and do a lot of things, and somehow powers through all of it, its amazing.

I managed to play it with 3 friends and any other game we would have broken every plot and quest, this just kept going.

Tried it yesterday- seems really neat.

Anyone care to weigh in on if my wife's G4440 and 1060 3GB will run it?

Its amazing, but each act gets progressively worse and worse design wise imo.

I never even bothered finishing the last area I got so bored with it.

They are completely rewriting the 3rd chapter for the enhanced edition release.

Any word if we can transfer our saves to the Enhanced Edition this time???

Graphics card wise, she should be fine.

But I know DOS2 can use up to 8 threads....

On my four core i5-750/GTX 960 setup, it runs well enough. But an i7 will def help with your fps minimums.

Pretty sure it requires at least 4 threads honestly....

I see and hear this complaint a lot. Are they addressing this in any form or fashion?

Same happened to me toward the end.
Before that it was a great game that in its own right was worth the money.
One of the best wastes of time I had around then.

I'll wait and see how the definitive edition pans out.

I got bored with this pretty quickly playing it single player (barely made it to act 2). As soon as I got a couple of friends involved, it was a blast. Definitely recommend co-op.

It also has GM mode, which is literally a virtual tabletop (albeit limited in functionality). They also provide access to the actual development tool that allows unlimited modifications. I have complete D&D modules that a group of friends role play with every weekend. The official div discord has meet-ups and there are a few unofficial discords from modders and GMs to help with issues and provide how-to's.

Anyway, I bought it a week before it was on sale, put in over 100 hours before it went on sale, and wasn't disappointed.

Just a slight bump, I posted this in the Larian forums, but thought I'd try here too:

I've been playing this for several months with my wife via PC/Steam. Windows 10, USB Xbox wireless controller adapter.

Working just great- Tons of fun, never had any problems.

Tried to play today, and the 2nd controller doesn't seem to function in the game.

Removed both controller devices, removed the USB wireless adapter, restarted the PC, re-connected the controller devices, still doesn't work.

Can't even get the second controller to work on the Launcher screen, (joystick doesnt work, clicking A/B doesnt work).

In Steam, both controllers show up, and identify.

Both controllers work in other applications, but I can't seem to figure this one out.

No mods. Straight up vanilla installation.
Suddenly wont work.

Any ideas?
Thanks
