used EVGA GTX 1070 Ti @ $375

The 3 4 biggest lies
This'll only hurt for a little while, I'll only put the head of it in, I promise that I'll never try to come in your mouth... and this card was only used for mining that one time when i needed the money.

as long as they last 6-8 months i'd say worth it. but screw fleabay so i won't be buying one sadly.

Hmm. My GTX 970 was $160 from ebay a year or so ago. I bet I could sell it for more than that now.:ROFLMAO:
Sell my 970 & put $200 towards a 1070 TI? decisions, decisions.

I doubt you could do that at this point. Still probably worth $160. It seems like an average price for a used 1070 Ti though.

Good price if he can provide a receipt so you can register with EVGA

You dont need a receipt to register with evga. its covered 3 years from the in service date whether your the first owner or tenth. At least they don't ask, so it doesn't matter what the fine print says. I bet i've rma'd 7-8 cards in the last year, as stupid cheap warehouse deals usually end up showing doa. Too good of a deal to pass on by sending back though. :)

GPU prices have really fallen a lot... wonder how far they will drop...

Or maybe it was purchased prior to May 25 and is not subject to the new policy.
But no one will ever know. What are the chances that they include a copy of the original receipt, and if they were going to do that it sure as hell would be mentioned in the ad.

Serial number probably.

That's correct, they can go off serial number for warranty purposes (so you will be covered from the manufacture date, rather than the date of purchase). Better to get the receipt if possible :)

Oh damn. I knew they removed the guest rma option from the website but everything was otherwise business as usual..... Based on what they say about "purchased after may 25th" I'd say as long as your willing to state it was purchased before then and the in service date agrees with it, your probably ok. I have receipts for everything I bought, just amazon warehouse receipts. I guess inclusion of a receipt at this point is icing on the reseller cake.

I'm aware of their policy but how can they enforce it with cards that were available prior to May 25. They would have to know at least a manufacture date or a ship date if it was bought directly from EVGA. They would know that by the serial number.

I was going to get the KR model he had but then I noticed the Asus Strix 1070 TI's which he had listed for $400 OBO purchased off Fleabay and got it for $375. He has 4 left priced $375 now because they weren't selling at $400 then $390. Seems like an honest guy. Runs his own computer shop. With Asus you just need serial numbers. I did the leg work if anyone want's to snag one. Here is the run down from Asus chat on when the warranties end. He shipped same day and it should be here Monday. Stuck in Dallas 20min away right now at the main hub. Freakin weekend. LOL
HBC0YZ208658 - Warranty will end January 10,2021.
HBC0YZ110649 - Warranty will end March 5,2021.
HBC0YZ121065 - Warranty will end March 24,2021.
HBC0YZ121137 - Warranty will end March 24,2021.

Asus 1070 TI Strix

Since he has dropped the price I wish I waited and ordered from Fleabay. Would have gotten $37 Flea bucks.

Will do but really it doesn't matter if they are covered under warranty via serial number. If it doesn't work just RMA it and get a heck of a deal on a 1070 TI. I mean hell they are $550 on Newegg so getting one for $375 is a no brainer even if you have to pay shipping to get it rmaed with Asus. I'll take $175 savings if I have to front only $18 bucks in shipping to get something RMAed. Most of the time I can get Asus to generate a shipping label anyway and I don't pay a dime extra.

Only 3 of the Asus 1070 TI's left on the link I posted above. UPS still hasn't gotten here yet with mine.

Got my card. Looks like new other then a bit of dust on the inner edges of the fan holes. Came with box, manual, cd (which no one uses because of outdated drivers), all port covers, pci-e slot cover, and ROG cable ties. Came well protected with packing material all around the product box. There was even a business card and magnetic business card for his company in the box. UPS got it here too late for me to check it out now so I'll have to install it later this evening and report back.

Used mining? Fleebay? More expensive then new?

Wouldn't touch it

Well seems to be fine. Smoked the EVGA GTX 1070 SC2 I sent back to Newegg for a replacement after 12 days for the side logo taking a dump.

Time Spy Stock score.jpg

Not too far off from my EVGA GTX 1080 FTW in my game rig on stock clocks with a 7069 score. That score is padded a bit more with a 6700K vs 6600K I'm sure by a bit also.

Yep it is comparing the actual details.

Graphics score for 1080=7749
Graphics score for 1070TI=6927

Give it some juice and it may be right up there with the 1080 on stock clocks anyway.

I'll toss some heavy 4k BF1 gaming at it tomorrow morning and see how it holds up. If it starts to glitch or anything.

Well I've put it through probably 25 passes of Timespy and played about 2hrs of BF1 @ 4K Ultra last night. Card holds up just fine. I guess the above initial Timespy test actually had the card on the Overclock setting in GPU Tweak so that wasn't a stock run apparently. I've yet to run a stock run as I kept tweaking the max and I'm still working on that. Not one single frame skip/tear, graphical glitch, tearing color or pixel distortion. So the card is solid. Nice and quite also. Nothing like the RX480 Strix card I had that sounded like a jet engine. I don't even notice these fans are running.

So did anyone buy any of the Strix cards seeing as they all sold?

That's because all of them are gone. Ebay will redirect you to what they see as a similar listing. There should be a small banner above the new listing they show you that states the item is no longer available.

probably a miner picked them up then since they were there 8 hours ago.. oh well didn't need the card anyways.
