Marvel Powers United VR is coming to the Oculus Rift VR platform on July 26, 2018. The game features multiple heroes that you can play as and use their superpowers to destroy enemy bosses. If you ever wanted to role play as the Hulk and smash your living room, then this is the game for you. Just remember to wear the wrist strap to avoid mishaps as they don't reimburse for broken TVs and glassware. You can grab an Oculus Rift on Amazon's Prime Day sale for only $349.00!

Assemble your ideal Super Hero squad to defend the galaxy in explosive and immersive co-op fights across iconic Marvel locations. Unleash the strength of Black Panther, smash foes as Hulk, wield Deadpool’s katanas—or choose from a roster of 18 of Marvel’s greatest heroes. Get ready for battle with iconic character powers, over-the-top ultimate abilities, and a full-body transformation only possible in VR.

..pair that up with an American Express card for 20% (or $80 offf) additionally......

Okay, but seriously, how did they not show someone bounding around on all-fours to simulate Lockjaw?

Yeeeaaahh....this isn't what it looks like and what it looks like is a juvenile attempt to rationalize half-baked ideas and the not-there-yet-but-keep-paying-for-iterative-landfill-until-we-make-it-right tech to support them.

The 'game' reminds me more of a mobile app: all manner of encouraging pop-up rewards (Good! Amazing! Keep going!) in an environment in which the player never dies. No game over, ever. Until a demon can knock you down, rip off your arms and beat you to death with them - a la Doom E3 demo from years ago - then no thanks.

Might have to give it a look when it comes out. Looks like it could be an interesting game to fill a couple hours.

Is oculus worth 350? I've always convinced myself a vive would be what I wasted money on a toy that would get 20 solid hours of play time then relegated to storage...

Depends on what you like. I got one a few months back. Found a few games to play through for a few hours each. Although many games that exist just aren't my type of game or are just very basic games. So I probably only use it for about 2 - 3 hours a week while gaming on other platforms for 10 - 15. Still feel that there needs to be more real games released. I did notice that The Forest released full VR support so might pickup that on steam to be able to play both in VR and in none VR mode.

I think we are still in the whole catch 22 part of VR. Given that VR deployment is still so limited no developer wants to build a full AAA title that is VR only or that uses VR as more than a way to look around as they won't get their money back from doing so. On the flip side, the lack of AAA titles keeps people from buying it as it doesn't have a massive amount of games to play just yet.

Those two have been my big concerns. The robot game they advertised during E3 looks amazing (not sure on drop date), but I'm guessing my 980ti is going to struggle mightily when that guy comes out and was hoping to not budget in a new video card for a year or more... until I can get a nice big jump in performance at 700-800, not at 1000-1200...
