Monster Hunter World has already shipped 8 million copies on the Playstation 4 console and PC enthusiasts have been patiently waiting for their turn to play the smash hit. Today Capcom has announced that the PC Master Race will be able to delve into the caverns, forests, and deserts of Monster Hunter World on August 9th, 2018! Of course there is a preorder package bonus available on the Steam page for those that are screaming, "Take my money!"

As far as system requirements go, the official blog post from Capcom goes into much greater detail than the leak from yesterday. An NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB and AMD RX 570 round out the recommended GPU list for 1080p High settings @30 fps, while an AMD FX 8350, Ryzen 1500, or Intel i7 3770K fill the recommended CPU list. Budget gaming enthusiasts can still play the title on Windows 7 and utilize their GTX 760s or R7 260x GPUs on for 1080p low settings @30 fps so Capcom should have everyone covered. But remember that you're going to have to be running the 64 bit version of the OS of choice.

Time for me to check the couch for change so that I can get in on the preorder train. 4K 60 fps gaming right out of the box on Highest settings? Who's with me?

First up, let’s answer the big questions, where and when you’ll be able to play the PC version of Monster Hunter: World. It’ll be available on Steam on August 9th. You can already head over to the Steam page to pre-order your copy, which means you’ll also get the pre-order exclusive Origin Armor Set and Fair Wind Charm.

I haven't been keeping up with gaming lately; that MHW comes with Denuvo, is that still a thing that is concerning? I recall that people were flipping out about that system of DRM at least a few years back.

The game looks nice, just curious what others think of the DRM implementation.

So does battlefront 2, south park fractured but whole and far cry 5, so I wonder too maybe people just gave up fighting on that hill? Or it isn't news worthy coverage anymore.

I was curious

I havent played MHW but heard good things about it, I still am not fully sure what it plays like, might need to watch some streamers.

I should look into it more myself, and I will. Curious if it is more of a molehill these days vs the mountain it seemed to be a few years ago.

I like the looks of MWH, and I've seen a few minutes of the streams that [H] has linked. And it seems to be a favorite of the hierarchy of the [H], so I'll definitely be checking it out closer.

I'm pretty excited for this. Hoping for a good port but we'll have to see. Really hoping [H]ard does a review.

This, God of War, and a few others are things tempting me to get a PS4 pro come black friday. One less temptation if this pans out well.

Lost any interest I had when they used Denuvo and said the PC version would have "parity with consoles"

Wow, 60 whole FPS. PCMR has become a meme of a meme of itself.
These are console ports. The last one Monster Hunter clone I almost bought on Steam ran at 25 FPS. 60 is a HUGE upgrade!

/sarcasm but you have to take the partial wins when you can. ;)

i played on xbox, my first mh game (xbox one x) and it is amazing. you spend alot of time swearing/dying but if you have friends or make friends that play it is a good time. taught me alot about teamwork on a console game.

beautiful in 4k too. its kind of like a 3d diablo game with bigger dino monsters

I am suprised it needs DRM when the whole game is about online multiplayer, events and nonstop quests... free patch content
