Three YouTube Stars Fall to Their Deaths at Waterfall in Canada

Cues up "Bodies" by Drowning Pool

Ahh, after a long day at work dealing with idiots, this thread brings a twisted bit of glee.

Also, "Who's the more foolish, the fool, or the fool that follows him."

Personally if somebody killed you and your family tonight. or the family of anyone on here. I couldn't care less. Just like if all those boys in the cave die, won't matter to me.
Probably the most idiotic thing I have seen in a while.

However feeling bad and understanding that some people enjoy doing things that the rest of us might find crazy are two different things. Some people enjoy bungie jumping, some enjoy sky diving, some enjoy flying with wing suits, some enjoy jet skis in the ocean, some enjoy scuba diving, some enjoy rock climbing.... I can go on and on. All of those things have some type of danger to them, but that doesn't mean that just because somebody enjoys them that there is something wrong with them to start with.
It's very different scenarios though, in one case you have a controlled sport with checks and balances and in the other case you have a bunch of youths posing for dangerous stunt click baits. Its very similar to the many deaths in national parks where people pose close to waterfalls and is sucked away. Comparing that to an extreme sport is just silly.

Id rather be dead and have lived a good life full of adventure, than be alive and live a bad sedantry and dull life. Kudos to them for taking risks even if it killed them. Everyone dies eventually but not everyones lives fully.

Spoken like a young person, who at some level still believes they are invulnerable.

Look man, everyone ends up a story, and I'd rather mine be a good one. However, there is a difference between adventure and unnecessary risk. Like going sky diving. Inherently risky, but with proper mitigation it's not suicide. Now, take the same skydiver jump out of the same plane, but instead of properly mitigating the risks with professional gear and proper inspection, they use cardboard wings and trashbags as parachutes, because they are avid DIY'ers on YouTube.

Unnecessary risk.

Sucks for them.........

You mean like a dumb ass 25 year old that ignored warning about a cave and took a bunch of 11 years old boys into it? Stupid people like that which ignore warning to do something cool?

I am not saying that you should personally care if they die or not. Personally if somebody killed you and your family tonight. or the family of anyone on here. I couldn't care less. Honestly, those 3 were complete idiots and hopefully they didn't reproduce, because we don't need that crap in the gene pool. I get that you like them because they were cool and did super exciting things because they were your favorite youtubers or something. But lets be honest here...They were doing very dangerous shit and gave zero fu**s about safety. Actions have consequences.

You have a point, to a degree but all those sports have a set of gear, procedures and training that make them an acceptable risk. If someone goes out jetskiing with all the proper gear and training and has a fatal accident then I care, if they get drunk and crash like a moron then my only concern is if they hurt someone else.

I love taking my kids on long hikes in the mountains, we take all the proper gear and both me and my wife have training for it (bear and wild life, first aid ect). I follow the rules and proper procedures to mitigate risks while enjoying it. Its the difference between watching animals from a safe distance and wrapping a steak around my neck because I really want to see a bear up close.

Except you have more than those two options in life.

They could spend their whole natural lives jumping into bodies of water around the world that probably WON'T kill them, still have adventure, and live 4x longer, having way more total adventures than they did. It's almost as if you use your head, you can have much MORE adventure in your life.

But hey, don't let me get in the way of people shouting YOLO while they smash their brains against the rocks, since that's original.

I've been there. I actually climbed, on about 10 hits of very good mescaline, a good part of the front of the falls, from the bottom. A fairly safe endevour really.

They were up top and fell in a pool. The pools just drain into each other, with immense force, and anything that falls in gets pounded. The slickrock surrounding those pools is deceptive and much more slippery than it appears. They really should put up more warnings.
I've slipped and fallen down a multi level waterfall/pooling system like this before. It's scary as all hell. I was lucky to survive that as a kid. Slipped on the rock climbing part of the way and I kept going all the way to the bottom.

Did I hurt your feelings? A woman dies during what sounds to be a normal swim gone wrong. And what is the reaction of everyone? good fuck that bitch she should have died trying to swim. Yes the three make videos, but this didn’t sound like they were filming at the time. Sounds like they were just swimming and things didn’t go as planned.

Not at all -- you are displaying the same lack of critical thinking skills and basic life preservation built into most people. Your attitude of "fuck you I'll do what I want" is exactly how and why so many people die in situations like this. There are rules and procedures in place for a reason, you don't seem to be able to wrap your head around this concept.

The group was *known* for their daredevil activities and risk taking at exotic locations and you honestly think she was "out for a normal swim"? At some remote location, zero safety gear, or emergency services?

You can be a selfish risk taking asshole all you want, but did you ever stop to consider the choices you make will affect family/friends or the poor guy tasked with cleaning up the mess you made when you splatter your brains against a rock or curb? Nah, only thing in your mind is "YOLO"

The video caption eluding to "we're trained professionals don't try this at home".

After many years I have witnessed "trained" and "professional" meaning shit.
Trained professional on closed course, all wounds and deaths are imitated. And no animals and feelings were hurt in the making of this video.

Fully according to whom? Saddest part is dead so young..
But Wft is a dull life? Dull according to whom? Nothing wrong with tranquility to me... Nothing wrong
other than the fact that others, and a lot in the TV want to tell me there is something wrong with it... Yeah, if you let it a lot of these shows would have believe life should be all exciting and dramatic, and love is all romance and magic and easy... shit that has nothing to do with reality.. life is shall we call it 'dull boring' work.. and you really should appreciate the tranquility it can afford you.

I can't criticize them. I rode over the continental divide on two lane blacktop that didn't have any guardrails, on a motorcycle, in a hailstorm. When we're young, we do some really stupid things, because we think that bad things only happen to other people. I think that part of this is because at that age, most of us haven't known anyone of our close peer group that has died from anything that we consider just normal recreational behavior, just yet.
At least here in the USA regardless what you're heavily into, it must be SAFE and SECURE
Nothing is completely safe, at least, nothing that is thrilling and enjoyable. We try to minimize the risks, I did by wearing appropriate protective motorcycle gear, but I could have easily slid off the side of that mountain.

They knew the risks, which meant there would have been serious injuries and/or deaths. Don't shed a tear:

After seeing that video of the site you'd be a damn fool to try and ride that waterfall, even with arrestor gear at the base of the pools.

One of the first rules for rescue work is assess the situation so you don't become a victim also. You can take risks but never take an unmitigated risk.

The first victim slipping and falling was tragic, she may have been too close to the edge - whatever, I can't armchair quarterback that without seeing it for myself. But the 2 knuckleheads that jumped in after her did it willfully and met the same fate.

Ouch that had to be a rough ride. Can't imagine where they would be trying to film anything there because it all looks like death to me. Some of you sound like you'd be pissed if they didn't get killed though.

Allow me to introduce you to Alex Honnold, the dude that free solo'd El Capitan last year. No ropes, no safety gear.. just some climbing shoes and a bag of chalk. He didn't die in the process, so you have something to fill that hate void in your life.

I believe all the "Jackass" episodes started like this, the extend of "training" for most of them was that they beat the shit out of their bodies enough, and the "professional" aspect was that they got paid to do it, most simply were skateboarders who fell quite a lot... guess that's training too?

Were these guys knuckleheads? I would say yes. Choosing to do what they did on the daily doesn't demonstrate wisdom. However, that's not how they died.

AFAIK the one chick slipped and her friends tried to save her. While they were idiots 99.9% of the time - that one fraction of a second, they were actually trying to save / help a friend. I don't begrudge them for that.

The only training for the Jackass episodes was a willingness to snort 8-ball's of stomped on coke, chew pain killers and slam shots of jack daniels combined with testosterone.

Apparently I was wrong in assuming/believing modern society had managed to kill Darwinism....... I stand corrected and apologize.

I begrudge them for being there in the first place.

Just because you pussies are afraid to do anything more exciting than stand in 1 foot of water less than 30 minutes after eating let’s all applaud your choice of being a fucking pussy celebrating somebody enjoying doing things and dying because of it.
Gayest shit I've ever read.

Nevermind, this one takes the lead.

So stake your own life fooling around to get hits on your videos and then you want sympathy when someone gets hurt or die? Fuck that shit.

Yup, men are evolutionary hardwired to save the female at any cost, even if it means your own life.

LOL guess I'm the ruthless exception...but I ain't jumping to my death to save no bitch.

I don't hate them for doing this.

I just don't feel bad. They did something very risky that they loved, and they paid the price.

People do stupid shit for stupid reasons, forevermore. I can't convince their stupid asses to stop, and if started watching I'd spend the entire time yelling at the screen pointlessly to a person who is intentionally not listening.

So yeah, I care about as much as these idiots care aboiut me - ZERO fucks given.
