Shenmue 1 & 2 remasters have a release date of August 21, 2018 as the Microsoft Store has leaked the information according to DSO Gaming. You can preorder the games in a bundle for $29.99. I'll probably grab them for the nostalgia alone.

The re-release will stay true to the originals with modernised features including fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voice overs. SEGA has not confirmed - nor denied - yet this release date!

Where was the remastered part?
I am guessing you can run it at any res available instead of the original 480i. Idk if I could play through these games again. They were cool back in the day but I don't think o have the patience to play them now.

I just want to do the mini games. I was addicted to those back in the day. I hope that I still enjoy them in 2018.

i meant watching the trailer I'm guess they didn't use remastered footage for it?

Forklifts for everyone! And if that doesn't get you excited, how about randomly created building interiors?! QTEs...? No...

They were cool games back in the day, groundbreaking even, and I am glad they will be playable for posterity's sake, but the "gameplay" has not aged well.

Some emulators such as null DC can already play Shenmue at 4K.
