cNet is reporting that at the Hollywood Legends Auctions on Saturday in Las Vegas, a blaster used by Harrison Ford in Return of the Jedi sold for $550,000. The iconic blaster was sold to Ripley's Believe It or Not according Julien's Auctions.

I've got to wonder how much the blaster from New Hope would sell for, as that one is infinitely more famous from Han shooting first.

Other items from Schoppe's collection that sold during the auction included an Imperial Scout Biker Scout Blaster that went for $90,625 (roughly £68,251, AU$90,625) and an Ewok prop ax for $11,000 (roughly £8,284, AU$14,848).

Sounds about right. If I was rich, I would have bid on it, but sadly, I am not, so I didn't.

Ewok Prop Ax? Who the fuck would buy that shit.
Obviously anyone who wants a weapon to kill fascists.. I mean look at how The Empire's fancy dandy space armor held up to savage primitive tools of a species that resembled hairy unwashed ballsacks with eyes.

The value of these things are probably boosted now that Star Wars will clearly never recover.

The one he never shot anyone with?
I never understood the Fett-fanatics out there. In the original trilogy he had what - six lines total and four scenes he was seen lurking in and one he did anything? Of all the rando things running around folks latched on to that one. *shrug* Maybe I am missing something by not reading the books.

I always liked him because there was a subtle mystique about him in the original trilogy. It was implied that he was a bad ass. I liked the nod to Leia in Jabba's palace when she's posing as a bounty hunter, bringing in Chewbacca. And then he died like Wile E. Coyote. I didn't need all the Jango Fett crap in the prequel movies. I wish they would stop trying to show and explain every single detail and tie everyone together.

Eradan - Let's not forget they tried to make fetch happen by setting up that Captain Phasma character in a similar fashion.. or that could have just been the bullshit writing... either way.. what evs.

Those of us who watched on the big screen in '77 know that Greedo never actually got a shot off at all.

Purely character design... He was just cool looking... The mystique certainly allowed everyone to imagine how uber he was.. then he got eaten.

They made more money with a single prop from a 30 year old movie than they did from the new movie.
