Back in 2013 I built a ZFS box on Open Indiana 151a with napp-it. I'm currently running version oi_151a8. It's been incredibly stable and besides the lack of updates, Open Indiana has been a great OS. I use linux at work quite a bit, so I'm leaning towards ZFS on Linux or FreeBSD, but Napp-it isn't supported on those OS's and it makes ZFS so easy to manage. I've also looked at Omni-OS, but it looks like it's no longer getting updates either.
What is everyone using now?
I haven't even gotten the part where CrashPlan is dropping home support, and I need a new system to backup to my parents house.
