Computers Returned in Walmart Scam

Walmart loses nothing on the deal. They send the defective machines back to their supplier for full credit. Their supplier has the choice of eating that cost or losing their contract to supply Walmart. Too big to fail totally applies to Walmart!

Not actually correct. Wallys has contracts where SOME items can be returned for full credit, but that has to do with dead stock and lack of sale. Returns go thru an entirely different system, and while some items are eligible for partial credit, most items go into the stores write-off budget.

The fact remains that Returns is a suck-ass job @ the Service Desk, nobody wants to do it, and after a while you simply stop giving a shit because EVERY asshole has a story, sob or otherwise, 99% of them are full of shit, but they are going to get their money back and if you give them any resistance they are fully willing and capable of putting in the time it takes to give you an ulcer. Eventually you just refund without listening because you don't want to hear it any more.. and it's the fastest way to get them the fuck away from your counter.

There is a ring of people right now buying tactical optics off amazon, and returning paintball and airsoft replicas. same thought process... Returns folks see something that looks like the picture in the description and issues refund. Ive been looking at comments, there are hundreds (at least) of complaints. Cost of doing business I guess... Fucking shitbirds

Gotta wonder how much more prevalent this really is at other places. As one of those people who skims thru threads and reviews for just about anything I often see reviewers stating how they didn't receive a 'new' product from Amazon, Newegg, and sometimes even BB or that it was missing something right out of the box. I'm sure crooked employees can play a part but also stuff like this somehow.

Man I heard of loving your SSDs but this guy took it to a whole new level. Would you invite this guy over to your house? lol

At Walmart they don't pay you to care. They pay you to work. You get your hours you go home.

Well, Walmart isn't Macy's you know and even at Macy's the attitudes of the workers? Not so good. Signs of the ties folk, signs of the times. There will be no where to run, no where to hide because wherever you go, there you are

Bought 3 xbox 360’s (I think?) from Walmart during the early release months. All of them were already RROD, luckily they gave me cash back on the last return and I went to B.B. for one.

All the boxes appeared to be unopened too, really strange ...
