TL;DR: as title, anyone running a Corsair keyboard with iCUE and a Steelseries mouse/headset with Steelseries Engine and seen any problems? I've found some dated references to issues but nothing recent.

---

Been using an old logitech illuminated keyboard (I know, I know) + rival 300 for a long, long time now and they're both starting to go. Keyboard skips characters regularly while I'm typing now and the mouse is getting a bit loose on the clicks sometimes.

I've looked over a lot of parts, tried a bunch in person at the local Microcenter and I've narrowed my choices down to a few options, from Corsair and Steelseries.

Mice options I'm considering:
M65 Pro
Glaive
Rival 310
Rival 600

Keyboards:
Corsair k70 / k70 mk2 (haven't actually tried the mk2 in person yet but I dig the regular k70)
Apex M750 / M800

The M750 looks nice but I've seen a lot of stuff about how twitchy the keys are. I'm also not sure how I feel about the bizarre rubber feet on it. M800 seems to have similar feedback about the twitchiness of the keys, but otherwise I like the design. I don't mind paying extra for the K70 if it means I've got some consistent key behavior.

The continued "double click" issues of the Corsair mice has me hesitant to buy. Some recent posts in their forums indicate they've fixed the problem (at least on the Glaive), though.

So rather than stick to one brand, right now I'm leaning towards the K70 and one of the Rivals.

To throw a wrench into the mix I've got a Steelseries Arctis 5 that I really like and I'm not planning to replace, so even if I were buying a Corsair Keyboard and Mouse, I'd still be running the Steelseries Engine for that.

Anyways, I found some posts from years past where some were talking about issues running these apps side-by-side, one causing the other's hardware to not be detected properly mostly - is anyone currently doing this and can speak to the experience?

Reading that the new mk.2 models have this onboard storage of lighting settings, which is pretty cool - looks like even if I had trouble with iCUE I could just uninstall it. So that basically seals the deal for me - now to decide whether I want it in black or white.

Also I didn't realize iCUE integrated LINK functionality - my power supply supports that. So I might just try setting it all up together anyways.

Would love to hear feedback from anyone who has tried the combination, but I guess if no one replies, I'll post back with thoughts once I have a chance.

So I got my K70 mk.2 SE earlier this week and plugged it into my Ryzen APU system, running iCUE alongside Steelseries engine for my Rival 300 and Arctis 5. Power Supply is in another box under construction, so not doing any monitoring of that with iCUE, but it did pick up the Vengeance LED memory I have in this box.

Haven't had any issues running both softwares on the system. Everything still working as expected. So that answers my own question - hopefully anyone googling for more current info about running them side by side will find this and it will be helpful.

aiphoenix hey, awesome, glad it was useful!

As a follow up I wound up buying some refurb Rival 300s instead of picking a new mouse. And I wound up switching to a different keyboard (Logitech G413) as I couldn't get used to the speed switches on the K70. Still have iCue running to monitor the power supply on my big system and it still detects the RAM on my Ryzen box, but I'm probably going to remove it at this point.
