While Amazon and Ebay have been making efforts to put down loaded Kodi box sales in the recent past, the FCC is now asking for something a bit different. Some Kodi box are now displaying FCC logos, and you guessed it, the FCC is not good with that. Interestingly, the FCC has nothing to do with copyright infringement enforcement.

FCC Commissioner Michael O'Rielly has written to the heads of Amazon and eBay with a request to eliminate sales of pirate media boxes which illegally display the FCC compliance logo. In a letter to Devin Wenig and Jeff Bezos, O'Rielly seeks the total removal of such devices, noting that their fraudulent labeling is exacerbated by the effect they have on the entertainment industries.

While I firmly believe that this controversy around Kodi is bullshit because "Pirates gonna Pirate", I also believe that Amazon and Ebay need to do a much better job at curating the inventory they sell.

Uh.. build a Kodi box (not hard) and install whatever "evil" you want. With that said, the crooks are the ones "selling" you something you could do yourself for a lot less.

Yes because eBay and Amazon are so good at curating their stores for illegal bootleg merch.

LOL thats some serious balls to blatantly place the FCC logo on your device.

Hmm meanwhile all the other cool stuff on amazon/ebay that have fake logos are ok to burn your house down, give lead poisoning to your baby and break after a week. Amazon and ebay are full of dumpster fire products now with 5 star reviews.
