yes, the specs reported give me 2mm of play, but in practical terms of finagling it into place, will i be able to get it in?

or will i just end up returning it?

Check out your cable routing first. I ended up having to do a few major changes for some silverstone cases because cables had to be route through the areas that had "room" for cards.

But it is possible to fit big cards in silverstone cases...
