Whenever I embed a link to an image like "https://www.google.com/images/branding/googlelogo/1x/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png" it breaks.

Guess Google does not want that hotlinked... Drag off your desktop, it works great, then it is hosted on your servers and we don't have to worry about broken images.
