Kingdom Come: Deliverance

I have 18 hours so I have about 43+ hours to go I didn't do much Combat

For a lot of the game you can avoid combat for the most part although even it improves once you skill up.

Silk tongue sneakthief is a fun play and I felt for me catered to the strengths of the game itself.

I wrapped up the Epilogue last evening and they've left room for a DLC or sequel. I did enough of the quests to garner the 'Completionist' achievement, but still fell just short of level 20 (For some reason the end battle and Epi did not reward XP). A couple of bugs kept me from wrapping up minor quests and related achievements (Ginger, Freud, Taalemburger) but nothing unforgivable from a fledgling dev, even after a couple of patches (I've read that they worked fine in earlier versions).
I'd give it GOTY and I hope WH doesn't cave to the SJWs for any future work, at least based on this title.

At least FO:New California is in beta. No other CRPGs currently on my radar.

Jeez. Another almost 5 gb? All I have on my ssd is this game, bf1 and mwo. Pushing 190 gb with three games. Lol

I dont think it increases the games size as it replaces files that already exist.
I monitored what happened with a previous patch and the size hardly changed, perhaps a few kb difference.

No fix for the Siege quest (wtf am I supposed to do with the 60 cockerel potions I bought/brewed?) or for Family Values (intimidate fails even 20 v 14), at least on my old saves.

That's a helluva drop. That one patch that temporarily borked saves really hurt them. It seems like they have things stable now and I really hope people come back to this game.

that's a crazy drop in players- 95%...I think the bugs and performance issues have frustrated players...bugs are expected but this game was more buggy then usual, has a high learning curve plus new games being released and people have moved on...sounds like a quality game but gamers are not patient people and developers need to fix their games in a timely manner otherwise they move on to the next big thing no matter how good the game is

People on Steam are so antisocial except for the people who browse the forums. I don't think alot of people know what makes them happy so they keep playing the quick fix games even Call of Duty WWII only has 537 players as I type this and that used to be the Quick Fix goto game.

I am waiting for them to fix the quest bugs. Until then, kind of pointless. I play for the story more than anything in this type of game.

Kingdom Come Deliverance creative director and co-creator Daniel Vávra has denied that his game witnessed a massive drop in concurrent players since its launch...Vávra took to Twitter to react to recent reports about Kingdom Come Deliverance’s player base having dropped by 95% on Steam...according to Warhorse Studios’ co-founder, the drop isn’t “dramatic” but merely “normal” if you compare it to other single player games, such as Far Cry 5 and Assassin’s Creed: Origins...Vávra added that its even outperforming other “much” more famous titles...

I think the game will get really popular again after a 50% or more Steam sale...sounds like a great game that people will enjoy more and overlook its flaws at ~$30 versus $60

Makes sense.

Damn I reloaded the mine shaft section by Reeky about 30 times because I couldn't do it right. I was wondering why I sucked so bad at combat. I fighting the guys in the Bushes and Trees because I thought my technique was off. I took all my armor off except for my shield and sword and almost got it perfect. I could only stab them with all my armor on and regular sword swings were not doing anything. What I don't like about the save and quit feature I think the game has to be Online at the same time because I lost my save at the Windmill.

Finally had some time to play this some more that Baptism of Fire Quest was the best yet. I had to backtrack my save and said there were too many to count for Bandits so you have more people helping you. At first I didn't do this and only had two groups of people but I had 3 groups of NPCs helping me when I said there were too many Bandits to count. Those Archers were such a pain in the butt I ended up walking up the stairs piss them off and they go into the fray and my guys just took them out while I helped. I died about 15 times to those Archers. When I got to Runt I was stuck untill I read he can be taken out with a Bow easily took about 4-5 shots to the head I wasn't doing nothing with the mace and sword I had.

In the screenshot below my NPC knights were just cramming the Cuman leader in the stall with about 10 of them trying to take him out NPC behavior is pretty fun in this game cause it's so unpredictable compared to other games out there.

I finally finished this game. In at around 180 hours. I usually get bored after about 80 hours but not with this game. I finished all the side and activity quests before the main quest. I maxed out a bunch of skills and hit the level cap. I killed a lot of people lol. I can't wait to see what they do next.

Did you kill all the friendly NPCs?

No, I killed a few I think early on when I was learning the game or trying to work on the Stealth Killer Achievement (until I found out they don't count towards that one). I basically killed all hostiles, unless it was guards (sorta, I was forced to kill one with a name at the monastery due to a quest glitch regarding returning a bowl). I felt like I was in that monastery forever for one of the quests.

I saw that poster for Tournament! and just realized how badly I want multiplayer tournaments in this game. Can't wait to pick this game back up when the first DLC drops.

Looking forward to all this content, I probably will not start a new game until sometime late in the year when most of it is out. But really enjoyed my first run through the game when it came out.

I'll probably going to do the same thing. P

Post patches plus all of this content and it will be like 2.0. I was very fortunate on my first playthrough and enjoyed the hell out of it. Great game that I most certainly will be remembering at the end of this year. It's on the shortlist.

Looks great. I just hope the "building mechanisms" are clean and intuitive.

So what is the end game purpose of building a Settlement? Does it get attacked I mean that would be pretty cool but just building the stuff would be boring.

I've only played like a bit over 40 hrs and it only reports 10% completed (or maybe it's unlock progression Idk) in GOG client for me haha. Don't have much time to play but been a big pleasure so far even if I get the feeling I wish there was slightly more features in some regards in the game that would make it feel even more complete.

I did enable two mods that made it much more enjoyable for my tastes, pots gives 9 nourishment and I slowed down time of the game from being 15:1 of real time to 8:1 (also affects how quickly food rots for instance) to make it feel a bit more immersive. Also have a mod enabled that drops so much less game as that was a bit like a cheat to hunt some venison and instantly be filty rich. Now it drops maybe 1-6 pieces of meat randomly or something like that from one animal (varies a bit which animal it is, hares give most often 1 ~ 3) and thus you cannot get stupidly rich from just hunting but some side quests do require like up to 100 game so have to disable it temporarily if wanting to complete those. It also balances out the survival aspect somewhat so you more often either buy or keep some game for yourself.

they want to get the Fallout 4 players who enjoyed the settlement building to jump over to KC: Deliverance

I hope not. The crafting element of FO4 was lame as fuck... and I really don't see anyone looking for that in KC:D. Hopefully this isn't really a crafting DLC and more of a story where the town builds itself back up as you progress.

I beat the game early last month and I'm definitely missing it. I'm very eagerly awaiting some quality DLC... this was hands down one of my favorite games.

Features/things I'd gladly see for KCD:

- Pub "drinking game". If you win (the person who loses gets to sip some alcohol every round lost and gets drunk or possibly could pass out) and have high enough charisma vs the pub mistress there's a chance to sleep with her that appears as a short clip in a random place in the village (could be in a barn or behind the church, you name it...). Gives slight boost to alcoholism stats. I felt pubs & alcohol in the game needs "one more thing" to make them interesting, this would go well with that.
- Better game skinning possibilities, tanning animal hide to various clothing (lower skill lvl the worse clothing you can make but it should stay as very comprehensive/complex way as making clothing so it's not a direct replacement for shopping)
- Game drops should be revised so it doesn't drop so many pieces of game, I'd rather make it into one piece per animal and instead one piece should be heavier and the value of it tweaked so it becomes reasonable value. As it is now when you get like 100 from a Venison it's way too easy to make money and it completely removes the survival aspect to the game as you will be always overencoumbered with food).
- Balance that eating from pots thing, seriously. I did use a mod to tweak the value, even at 9 it feels borderline too much, I'm considering dropping it to 5-6 possibly, 25 is madness with the pots available a bit everywhere!
- Possibility to settle somewhere (buying a house would be the expensiest item in the game and now you have some use for all that money later into the game) and make a family with some of those main characters in the game (through lots of side quests). As of now the slight "romance" sidequests seem more like an aftertought, it always bothered me how they barely has any interest to talk with me after completing the quests.

A few things that would take it from a 9/10 game to 10+/10 for my tastes.
