Report: Tesla Battery Reignited Days after Fiery Crash in Mountain View

Rental cars all have tracking, and modifying the car takes time and expertise.
Anyway I was just pointing out that this is a stupid fear. You can't ban everything that might be used as a weapon because then you'd need to ban everything.

And BTW how is it easier to rig an electric car to explode, than use a regular car and fill up the trunk with volatile materials?

This is just an excuse for luddites to hate on electric cars, because they must hate on everything that is different or new.

My post was not a hate on electric cars, it was more about making a point against people who think electric cars are the solution to everything that ails society.

Besides, if a terrorist really wants to cause damage, they will just fill up any car (gas or electric) with extra explosives for a bigger bang

So you're saying they should learn this through work experience. They absolutely should learn to avoid accidents with forklifts if they're walking through large warehouses or work yard with forklifts running around.

The same can be applied to engineers and reigniting batteries. Once they've seen it, it'll be hard to forget.

I definitely learned about polarized capacitors after I mixed up positive and negative terminals and one blew up in front on me.

So are you saying engineers are only capable of learning through trial, error, and potentially traumatizing experiences?
