PlayStation Sales Double Xbox One’s in 2018, according to EA Data

remember when MS said XBone would have to be connected to play? well I just set mine up last month and the first thing it demanded was an internet connection. GIANT turn off..

however it is nice that all of my arcade games play just fine on the new system

You may be seeing more PS4 defects because there's more of them and because each console is, on average, used more.

Agree with the first point but not the last one. There are roughly two times more PS4s, but I see like 10 times more PS4s needing serviced.

Not surprised you say that. The original PS4 is way more complicated inside then it needs to be. The touch controls alone are rage inducing to me. A bit of static and the drive ejects whenever it feels like it. I hate to say it, but Sony should have hired Apple to design the board and chassis.

Hilarious how people hated the original Xbox One plan with the always on stuff. They had some pretty cool features in the works and I don't give a crap about selling used games. Having a Steam-like library that you can share with people on your family list would've been tits.

I'll say this again: console sales is not a good metric for determining whether or not a console is successful. The Nintendo Wii sold a ton of consoles but had an extremely low attachment rate with most people buying it, playing Wii Sports, then never touching it again.

No matter what, I can always count on the Microsoft hate on this forum providing a good read.

I bought a xbone, played 4 player halo on it. So did my cousin, my brother in law, and a friend of mine, none of us have touched them since, two of us sold them a couple years ago.

Couple that anecdotal experience with Microsoft changing the metric of success recently, and now this threads title and article. I'd say engagement is poor, right along with sales.

You just keep on trying and cannot let it go. You do understand that you could actually be wrong, right? This is not a war and there are no victors that come out on top well everyone else closes up the shop. If it were the other way around, I will still say that Sony is making money and that is good for them. After all, they need to make all the money they can get, considering they are or where in the red in most every other part of the business.

Reality is too much for you to accept, don't worry you will be fine.

I.E.: I am never wrong and when I am, I am not, good for you. :D Cool thing is, even if it were the other way around, you would find something else to bash them on, stay consistent! :)

You realize you have no evidence at all, that this is a thread on an article about the PS4 outselling the Xbox by 2 to 1, and that Microsoft had to change the metric of success from sales and revenue to 'engagement'... This is why you are full of it, full stop.

Guess we are just going to have to agree to disagree and leave it at that, enjoy. :D :)

Xbox will be gone in 2020, no more consoles from MS after.

Riiiiigggghhhhhhttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................... LOL! Yeah, they are going to just dump their XBox Live Gold cash cow and network, along with their consoles themselves. Let me guess, Windows is dead because Vista, right?

I think its more likely we will see a stripped down PC crammed into a box and packed with a bloatware OS that constantly tries to sell you things that aren't really game related... Oh wait, that is the xBone :p.

Kidding aside, I don't think Microsoft will abandon the console market, they are pushing their store and most of its uptake is on the console not the PC. I'd suspect a more streamlined experience that closer mimics the PC (or windows mimicking the console) so they don't alienate users between the two systems.
