Serious Sam Sale on Steam (= dead deal)

I'm hosting my annual 16 person LAN in July. We will be playing this co-op. Thanks for the link - I forwarded it to all the attendees just now.

16 player game list we have scheduled:
  1. Serious Sam 3 - 16 player co-op!!! - first time trying it - heard it's a blast in co-op with a lot of players.
  2. Renegade X - always an attendee favorite at a LAN party. RTS/FPS hybrid set in the command and conquer universe
  3. Chivalry - very enjoyable midevil first person warefare - 8v8 objectives or deathmatch
  4. Blur - 20 player max support - mario cart style racing with real cars, and weapons. Fast and tons of fun at LAN
  5. Rune - oldie but a goodie - hack and slash third person game based on UT engine in Viking/Norse setting - big axes and swords - no guns. FAST gameplay, absolute insanity.
Then of course the breakout/adhoc stuff - Overwatch, Doom, Battlefront, PUBG, etc.

An actual LAN I would be interested in attending. Most current LANs are a fuckin joke.

Just needs a little UT. Lol

Decibel, thanks for pointing out the Croteam VR Bundle for only $5 more. I was about to purchase just the SS bundle but this is definitely worth the extra $5. I've been wanting to get these for a while, but at $40 a pop I couldn't justify it (I have every SS game on Steam already).

This in VR made me extremely dizzy and sick. Fast paced 2d games don't work too well when translated to VR who would have thought. Refunded

Checked out Blur and think I will add it to our LAN rotation. It reminds me of DethKarz which I am going to try to revive at the next LAN; Like Wipeout but with cars.

Chivalry and Rune are both oldies but goodies!

One game that has remained at our LAN games that pretty much everyone loves is Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West. I highly suggest it for LAN play, it has a dedicated server and Fatshark is a wonderful developer.

Sadly it is $9.99 right now but it does go on sale and in the past you could pick up 4 packs of it.

That's unfortunate. I think it's a blast.

How are your VR legs?

The only time I've ever had any motion sickness was when I was working on my helicopter commercial rating... That first time flying under the hood...

thats the only time ive ever felt like that.

Serious Sam games are a lot of fun. I just dislike their default FOV. Completely different from nearly all FPS games.

I remember the LAN parties I used to go to. We'd sip on beer and run 3d mark and other benchmarks for half the night. Good times.

For a LAN Party with 16 player coop, I doubt we'll have the joint interest to play this in its entirety through the campaign as it looks to be about a 10 hour game through the campaign. Anyone have any suggestions as to which level we should start on? I've heard it said that you can skip the first level or 2 with no major implications. Any levels definitely worth ensuring we hit?

It looks like these are the 12 levels:
a. Summer in Cairo [ch1]
b. Into the Spider's Nest [ch2]
c. Broken Wings [ch3]
d. No Place to Hide [ch4]
e. Under the Iron Cloud [ch5]
f. The Silent Riddler [ch6]
g. Unearthing The Sun [ch7]
h. The Dark Bride [ch8]
i. The Power of The Underworld [ch9]
j. The Lost Gates of Nubia [ch10]
k. The Last Man on Earth [ch11]
l. The Guardian of Time [ch12]
