DAN A4-SFX: The smallest gaming case in the world

Ok my psu is ko. I don’t have the 12v. The fan don’t turn.

I wait now the corsair 600w and i turn back the be quiet psu.

Repurposing my parts from the Node 202, and just received the Asetek 545LC and wires/plugs for custom non-sleeved white PSU cabling.
Just waiting for v3 to arrive next month :D

Got a DSLR camera, will take pictures once assembled.

Can someone who has the Asetek 545 and a Noctua A9x14 recommend me some screws that work with the fan and res? Thanks in advance.

It's an issue with the power button, not the psu. You put the power sw cable in the wrong way, flip it around so the power sw text is facing the ram.
A switch like that will work either way, it justs connects / jumps the pins it is plugged onto.

Is the actual metal of the black Dan case solid black all the way through?
As in, is the black layer a coating or the colour of the metal?

Not to disrupt the very interesting subject of new all CU coolers, but I've sent in my submission to the dan a4-sfx HoF some time ago, but gotten no confirmation on whether or not my pictures has made it into Dan's inbox. Should I send the pictures in again or is it completely normal to not get any response (even in form of an auto reply)?

Thanks in advance

And oh yeah, the email adress which I sent the pictires to was [email protected]

Try jumping the motherboard manually with a screw driver. If it still doesn't start then its definitely not a power sw issue.

I doubt it's a psu issue because the leds are on, but you could try testing the psu by connecting a fan to it with molex and jumping the 24pin with a paperclip to see if the fan works.

I thank’s for your help. Everything is running now. I burn my motherboard and my psu.

Hi everyone,

Long time lurker here in possession of the v2.

I still not sure still what right CPU and GPU for the config I'm trying to achieve, so I would be happy if you could help me with some of your experienced inputs :)

Pre-requirement: Corsair SF450

Main prio to achieve for this build: (first) low temps/ low noise and while trying to achieve performance (second).

- Intel Core i7 8700? i5 8600?
- Corsair SF450 (can the internal fan be changed to improve noise/temp levels?)
- Asus ROG Strix Z370-I Gaming or ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac
- Cooltek LP53 + Noctua A9x14 or the Noctua Nh-L9i or Cryorig C7
- Corsair Vengeance LPX?
- Samsung 960 EVO?
- GPU no idea, 1070 may be but which specific model?

I am looking forward hearing from your inputs! and welcome to pm me thanks.

PS: I remember Dan posting those ready made setup - as guidance build suggestions - but cannot find those anymore.

If you care about noise or cooling, you may not want to use the SF450, it would obviously work fine as the wattage requirement on CPU isn't too high, but a SF600 would give you some more breathing room I would imagine.

Yes you're right but I do want to work with that requirement and see what can be achieve with less wattage.
Sf600 can be still an option nevertheless:)

Anything from 8600k and above will run hot and needs delid to have better temps. Best is an 8400 or maybe even the 8500.

Edit:
Haven't plug in my 8600 yet since I'm waiting for my custom cables. I'll be using a sf450 aswell but with only a gtx 1060 6gb.

Matias Petersen I got the pictures ;)

I hope you got mine, i must have sent them 4 times lol.

I also sent my pictures 2 times But now I have bought a DSLR (D5600) and want to take them again instead of with the iPhone, but maybe dondan will think "oh god not this guy again" :)

yeah, what i think is that dondan is playing with us a little, having us get all hot and bothered about a contest and making us take the time to take the pictures of our rig. didn't even do it on the the first deadline last year and now its going to slowly disapear again like last year until no one asks about it anymore. dondan, you sly man you.

Anyone tested the C7 cu already? There are so far 2 results which are contradicting so I'm holding myself off before pulling the trigger.

I got my Cryorig C7 Cu graphene ed. yesterday havent had the time to test it yet, my Standard C7 Cu will come in a few days, i will do a test of them both

Anyone know where i can buy this mounting clips for the noctua fan to mount it on the Cryorig C7

Great to hear. What set-up are you planning (+ type of mod cables) and why a 1060 and not 1070, temps/noise level concerns?
Also if I read you right, not even the 8600 (non-K) is to be considered unless may be the K variant which could be delided (and may be undervolted)?

If I could run a 1070 card on this sf450, which ones would be best noise/temp wise while having a good perf.?

Many questions I know but difficult to choose among so many card choices when considering the temp/noise constraints from the chassi.

All intel coffee chips can be delided since they aren't soldered like AMD Ryzens (preferred em but no asus itx avail ib my country.) I went with the 8600 since I wont overclock and I saved like $50 bucks which I added for my m.2 budget. I also went with a gtx1060 since it's the only gpu I can afford cause of the freakin minning craze. Every gpu in my country has like $200 premium so nope. Lastly for the cables just check the dan case gallery here and you can see luks custom cables. I just copied his measurements and ordered at upc. Costed alot but aesthetics would be really nice and it'll prolly have better airflow with less wires eating space.

Sebbie
Looking forward to it!! :)

Edit: am still waiting for my custom cables to arrive before I start the build. I might delid if it is needed. Will surely undervolt aswell.
