According to a new Ghost Recon Wildlands teaser video, Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher is headed to the tactical shooter in a future update. More information will be divulged this Monday, but there is strong indication that Michael Ironside has returned to voice the character.

A new teaser trailer has been released that features Fisher speaking about heading to Bolivia, the setting of Wildlands. It also references his relationship with the game's Ghosts, the squad of playable characters. We don't actually hear Fisher's name used, but the silhouette--and accompanying night-vision goggles--leave little doubt about who we're looking at.

That didn't sound a bit like Michael Ironside's voice. That sounded like the dude who did the last Splinter Cell.

I played Blacklist only, the guy in the trailer sounds alot different from Blacklist's VA.

They should do a crossover between Sam and the guys who played solid snake umm David hater I think.

Please tell me there is a campaign and not just some skins.
Wait, I just realized the splinter cell skin was already in the game from the start, so they can't pedal just that.

I think this goes to show that despite them never admitting to it they know that not having Ironside in the last Splinter Cell was a mistake. Else, why would they have Ironside reprising the role now? I know I didn't play the last game due to it not being Ironside. Some voices make the character and just like with Hayter and Snake, Ironside to me IS Sam Fisher. If you're not using him for the voice then make a new character.

I wouldn't say he sounds like the last dude...at all...but I think it didn't really sound like Ironside that much either. Had to Google it...more I listen the more it's there BUT he certainly sounds older. Almost like "old man" old.

I agree, Ironside IS Sam Fisher. And to your second point Ironside is an old man, dude's almost 70
