Need help quickly. Asus Strix Z370-E or Maximus X Code

I ordered the Code already but can overnight the Strix for my build. I was told the Code is overkill for what I need. What are your personal thoughts? I saw the differences on Asus.com but wanted peoples opinions. The Code has more USB ports for sure. I will be having a 8700k on it with a 1080ti Strix OC card.

If you don't need the extras, why pay more? Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with either board.
