Or fix all my broken GPU's
Crypto mining takes a toll on the fans. So I run CPU mainly

If only I wasn't so cheap.

For Only 12 members your only 343k ahead. I think we've still got 1 day give or take a couple hours.

o_O

:ROFLMAO:
Thanks for the offer.

Skillz: I remember when the languages they had in school were: Pascal, Fortran, and Cobol.

LOL, I thought I was one of the few that learned those languages in college back in the early 80's.

Welcome to the home of the [H]orde!

Pretty sure our top 12 would have got the job done.;)

One guy got started a day after the event started.:ROFLMAO:

Hey now.... I'm not THAT old and they still had Cobol as mandatory for the IT degrees at my local college. Then again, there were 3 large companies that recruited from there. At least until this year when State Farm decided to let go a few hundred IT staff in this state.

Did I mention there were no monitors either? You typed in the data and the terminal typed the answer back to you.
Looked sorta like this:

Ours weren't that old, but I do remember the big football players crying their eyes out because of a single character typed wrong and they had 5 minutes to turn their code in...lol

Hey guys,

Sorry i was late to the party. I just joined a few on Seti yesterday late . I do have 2 boxes that seti wont run on due to HBI blocking the dll files that seti uses. oh well
looks like we are sitting pretty good.

I started using computers (Apple ][) in 80/81 when I was ~6 years old... that crap predates me big time.

My first programming course i took was in highschool back in 1996 or so and it was pascal. Wasn't the newest language at the time but it was a good starting language (could have also been all the teacher knew) GO TO statement FTW.... not!

Pffft. You kids and your "I'm old" talk. My first computer you had to slide beads back and forth on metal rods.

Just kidding, I'm only 45 and 9/12ths years old.

Congrats on beatin' some azz, you old farts! (fastgeek excluded, on the old farts comment)

Congrats Folks
It was fun while it lasted.

Maybe I'll break out the 8088's for next round.:ROFLMAO:

PS Thanks for correcting my name.

Thanks for checking in and don’t forget to change your team affiliation to us ... else we change the name back ...

That first Sprint was FUN.

Definitely going to spend time optimizing my machines from the software perspective.

Collatz, I'm looking at you. :p

Yeah... you need a severe CPU upgrade to fully utilize those bad boys. That or more boxen to spread them out...lol

Hey guys! Another XtremeSystems member here congratulating y'all on your sprint win. Pretty impressive! :D

But we at XS will live to fight another day, and we'll surely be back to talk a little trash...

Cheers!

Welcome to the forums!

I know you guys have a forum, but I don't see any discussion regarding Formula-BOINC on it. Am I missing it somewhere or is it only view-able by members?

Just kidding. Ya we have a members only section on our site...don't you guys? You know we've been looking around in here trying to spot weaknesses. Y'all better watch what you say during the next sprint!

Damn ; that’s a great idea ... a secret place ... can we join yours ? We also don’t share with the Navy ...

I'm guessing y'all have a different forum under a different domain than XtremeSystems?

PecosRiverM, smtb1963, good to see your team active in FB events. It appears that XS has taken the 3rd spot recently. Well done! Most likely we will see you in League 1 of next year.

BTW, you guys might want to consider participating in this year BOINC Pentathlon held on May 5th. For last year BOINC Pentathlon team standings and reviews, see here. Even Gridcoin could not take the gold considering that in FB they easily dominate most of the projects.

Some of us might have been in on last years Pentathlon.:muted:

Next sprint should be announced in less than 8 hours.
