A series based on Capcom’s Street Fighter II: The World Warrior is coming to television. The show will follow the adventures of Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Guile, as they work together to take down Shadaloo boss M. Bison. Fans of the web series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist should enjoy this one, as the same team is involved.

Entertainment One/Mark Gordon has closed a deal to develop, produce and finance a TV series adaptation of the popular Street Fighter global video game franchise, with Joey Ansah, Jacqueline Quella and Mark Wooding, the team behind the live-action web series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, set to executive produce. eOne will handle international sales on the project.

if assasins fists is anything to go by this series will be awesome, i hope they dont dumb things down the steady pacing of film suited the story. i hope similar things will be done for the other charectors

Well this promises to be terrible. Lets see if they can at least be better than sharknado.

Nothing can be better than Sharknado. The post ingestion chainsaw rescue is one the greatest moments in cinematic history.

If this doesn't fill you with the same emotions as some shitty propaganda war-porn circle-jerk, then you're dead inside! DEAD INSIDE!

Already had one, it was animated, Street Fighter II V. :p

Hopefully it has a kickass scene like this.

Just don't make it like the live action movie. ;)

I still love that they called him “Ree-oo” instead of “ri-yoo”. That always annoyed me so much. That movie still fantastic too.

I'm ashamed to admit I nearly passed out laughing watching sharknado 5 the other night.

Wow, sounds great, Assassin’s Fist was highly enjoyable.

And as for Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994), watched both the dub & sub, sadly the replaced music tracks in the dub didn't match the scenes all that well, and were rather distracting, while the subbed version's music was fantastic, find the japanese language version of Chun-Li vs Balrog (Vega), and judge for yourself.

“A particular strength of Street Fighter is the wide range of ethnically diverse characters and powerful women featured in the game. It will allow us to build an inclusive and engaging TV universe.”

I mean for fuck's sake. Are we going to get the social justice version of Street Fighter? Is that what this shit means?
