Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Waiting on the next patch. I have run into too many bugs today. The clothes make the man and the ancient maps are both buggy.

Waiting on the next patch. I have run into too many bugs today. The clothes make the man and the ancient maps are both buggy.

Some tips:

"Save and exit" before known areas of trouble you're having. You might get lucky. You can blow a schnaps, too, if you want otherwise this is better.

It's saved me several times and most notably (consider this a warning everyone) with the Charlatan in Sasau, whose dialog is notorious for the freeze bug.

The clothes make the man is optional. They don't give a crap how you're dressed when you go in for that dialog with everyone and set up the next leg of that quest. The clothes he wanted me to wear were crap compared to the gear I was sporting so I didn't do it. It doesn't matter.

Same here waiting on the next patch before I continue. I can't really play the game with the invert mouse option also being applied to the combat interface. I was thinking of downgrading to 1.2.5 but decided against it, so I'll just play FFXV till they fix this game.

I'm playing PS4 Pro but my Masquerade quest is broken. An NPC I need to talk to appears to be dead, Olena. The quest marker leads me to a bucket in the river. Googled it and appears common. :/

The marker is not accurate for some folks as per part of the bug.

It is although again "save and exit" before the trouble area gives you at least 50/50 chance of it working.

I was amazed when I did this quest yesterday it actually worked right for me the first time around. I was all set to do "save and exits" at several points and especially when it was time to approach her.

The latest patch did address *some* of this but you as obviously know it's still a little bit of a crapshoot.

(if you're desperate? Not sure the quest is worth this but it's up to you. I wouldn't go to jail for it. )

You will see in those threads and easily on the Internet where Olena is regardless of what the marker says if she isn't dead.

I'm confused. Invert mouse should be a choice you can enable or disable. I can't imagine trying to play that combat with inverse mouse. Settings -> Controls -> Mouse options right at the very top. Sensitvity and then "invert mouse" yes/no.

That is the problem, in v 1.2.5 it worked properly. Invert mouse only affected when you were walking around or on the horse essentially just mouse look, but in combat the mouse was not inverted so the combat sight worked as expected. As of 1.3.x the mouse is globally inverted even in combat so there are many people who use invert mouse that can no longer play the game because we can't pull off any combos any longer. Most have reported it as a bug to the developers but so far no reply from them.

I had to kill my horse bc it would not go faster than a walk. It respawned fixed after I reloaded the game. Otherwise it would stay stuck walking after a reload. Weird.

Started a new game, after the prologue I got to work at herbalism and alchemy. Herbalism must be the easiest skill to level, and once you get alchemy up to level 10 for autobrew it becomes an incredible money maker. I'm decked out in the most noble of gear and didn't have to sully my honor buy touching filthy corpses.

On another note I still don't understand why killing rabbits counts as stealing/poaching. I could have swore I read in the codex that commoners were allowed to hunt rabbits but all other game was for the nobility.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1.4 patch is finished, will be hopefully be out next week
Kingdom Come: Deliverance
There's good news and better news for Kingdom Come: Deliverance players looking forward to the arrival of some much-needed fixes. First up, a new 1.3.4 patch hit Steam and GOG today, which fixes a random encounters bug and adds support for Nvidia Ansel and Shadowplay so, as creative director Daniel Vavra said, "you can take cool screenshots on GeForce."
Unfortunately, that's all it does. Behold the full patch notes:
Fixed random encounters bug.
Adds support for Nvidia Ansel and Shadowplay.
The reaction to the patch is what you might call lukewarm, as many fans were expecting a much more substantial update.

That's where the better news comes in:
Vavra said Warhorse hopes to have the patch out next week. That one should be much more substantial: Vavra tweeted last week that the 1.4 patch will have "lots of bug fixes and cool new stuff."

I'll fire this game up again I quit at the Drunken Priest I ran into some Cumans in the woods they kicked my ass.

I sadly finished up with the game yesterday. Broke 70 hours on it. Overall I'm very happy with this game on all levels past the occasional bugs (which are getting better) and admittedly less than stellar combat. I played the bulk of the game as a silk tongued sneakthief who mostly did good and I'm looking forward to more. No complaints. This is a game that I'm going to remember for a long time.

seems like a good game but this Daniel Vavra is really bad at meeting his deadline dates...every time he says 'patch coming next week' it really means 2 weeks after that...

Just got done with the prolougue. Now i'm hauling ass down the hill looking for a horse with the enemy guard chasing me.... I actually am loving and enjoying this game alot! 1080 Ti's with the sli fix and shaders and shadows on high but the rest on ulta and I can usually stay close to 60 FPS at full 4K. Really enjoying the game.

Agree although ultimately if that's what happens and we don't get a "one step forward, two steps back" type situation on that patch then it's good enough for me.

hint, whistle when you get to the bottom

So I did whistle, but just found a horse and hit x and made my way to the next town. confused though as I did hear the chick screaming but didn't help her but from the dialogue with the guys in the next town, it seems like I did? i guess having them chase me was what saved her?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1.41 patch addresses corrupted saves problem
Kingdom Come: Deliverance

The Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1.4 patch arrived yesterday, featuring new hair and beard mechanics, Easter eggs (actual Easter eggs, not the videogame type we generally deal with), NPC resurrections, and 200 "major" bug fixes. Unfortunately, it also brought with it a wee little problem that resulted in "a distinct possibility that the save files created with version 1.4 might be corrupted." Thus, the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1.41 patch is out today.

The 1.41 patch notes are on the vague side, saying only that it fixes errors that arose "due to obsolete data having been published as part of 1.4." Developer Warhorse Studios didn't indicate the actual likelihood of save files being corrupted under the 1.4 update, but the words "distinct possibility" are generally not ones you want to read when they're attached to bad news.

"We highly recommend going back to your old save files that were created with version 1.3.4 or older," Warhorse wrote. "If you finished main quest Baptism of Fire and the following quest (Questions and Answers) did not start, reload any save from Baptism of Fire and progress through the battle. The quest Questions and Answers should start after the duel with Runt."

As for that 1.4 patch, this is the list of the good things it does:

  • New Hair and Beard mechanics.
  • Customize your style in bathhouses and gain extra charisma with freshly cut hair.
  • Unarmed mercy kill added for a more "subtile" way to solve quests.
  • Real Easter eggs added. The hunt for the golden egg can begin!
  • Traditional Czech Easter-themed weapon to be found, called "Pomlázka".
  • Resurrection day is upon us! Some NPCs that have died due to the physics glitches have risen from their graves.
  • Fixed problems with the "Mightier than the Sword" quest related to the scribe.
  • Rattay archery competition works on advanced difficulty.
  • Fixed save issue for the "House of God" quest.
  • Another 200 major bugs fixed
Alongside the 1.4 update, Warhorse also released a free HD Texture and Audio Pack for the PC version of the game. HD audio is provided for all three voiceover languages (English, German, and French) and enhances all in-game sounds, while the hi-def textures can be toggled from the game menu but require a minimum of 6GB VRAM to run.

SO, i'm sure u all know about the 1.4 patch fiasco and the 1.41 patch fix. I am only 40 hours into the game and most of that was spent exploring and doing side quests. I left the main quest alone and actually just finished the quest right after acquiring Pebbles. Thing that sucks is that after the 1.4 patch install, I load my last 10 saves all saved with the previous patch not 1.4, and during the saving load screen I hear the drum gong sound indicating a objective update and if I load in in time I see "Go and kill the bandit camp leader"

I have no clue what this is referring to and I do not see this quest on my journal or in the map. Posting this on steam, people are saying my main quest is bugged and fubar'd..... Contacted The Kingdom come bug support but no reply yet.I can load a previous save which is like 30 hours prior to my current save and it loads without the bug. I like this game a lot, but having to lose 30 hours of game play kinda sucks....

Sorry to see the chaos for at least some of you. To their credit Warhorse has really tried like gangbusters here to stay on top of everything. I'd hoped to see a short lived problem put down by 1.41.

Reading the HD Texture Pack is really for 4k only. Saying at 1080p it's not noticeable.

I'm at 1080p and gave it a quick go.
I didnt see much difference but it was dark so I need to try again.
It may work better with DSR instead of AA, I'll have to try that.

looking at some YouTube videos the HD Texture Pack doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference...still worth installing but not sure the GB to improvement ratio is all that great

Ive got about 50 hours in the game so far, and I feel that I've only scratched the surface. Beautiful game! Melee weapon combos are hard when you're playing with inverted axis.

Playing 21:9 is gorgeous. One weird bug I've noticed is that it isn't saving my graphics settings. Keeps going back to borderless from Fullscreen, and vsync seems to stay on even if I have it off. I have it set to adaptive(in the nv control panel) to it would only hold 75Hz, but if it fell below, it would unlock it. However, it seems to always stay on.

I'm 106 hours into it and now just doing the Find Reeky main quest lol. I've been just doing all the side quests and activities. I can now bullshit most of the guards when I get caught picking locks or pick pocketing. Kinda fun but ruins your rep with them. Not sure if it matters too much or not.

Haha. I'm also at the reeky main quest, and have about 70 hours in... I love this game. I have been playing as a sneak thief, but try to be good but I can't help being a kleptomaniac. I think I've robbed the poor traders in Rattay more then 5 times. it's so funny after robbing them and I go and buy something and their inventory is completely empty. =/ haha

I have been practicing with Bernard but I still suck at fighting but I am getting better. Crazy that my main character is level 14 already and strength, lock-picking and a few other stats are over 10..... And I still haven't barely touched the main story. I am so addicted to this game!!!!

Yeah.. It is addictive. It's certainly a hurricane of fresh air. Realistic, based on a true moment in history, no magic spells or crazy complicated skill tree. Just man vs man and an incredibly open and large world with so much to explore.

It's nice that you can take it easy and relax and lean back in your chair if that's what you want. You can just about completely avoid combat

LOL I've robbed a few in Rattay. I apparently stole all the Weapon Smiths clothes cuz the next day I went in to sell some bandit gear or whatever and he was just standing in his PJ's. I had a good LOL at that. Someone I got like 50K from just sitting in a chest. I think it was the armorer. I can't help but steal shit too. I don't know why cuz it's annoying to sell after a certain point cuz I think there's only 2 Millers for that and they don't have enough money so I have to wait several days to get rid of all of it. I had fun stealing lots of shit from the Monastery too. I think I have a few quest items from there I haven't gotten the quests to yet. I also like combat somewhat. I did swords for a bit and now I'm doing the bow. It's so satisfying to headshot a guy and he goes straight down. I kill all hostiles. I stop for every bandit or Cuman on the way to stuff and slaughter them even if they have garbage items.

Anyway yeah I love this game too. I usually get bored at the 80 hour mark for most games but not this one. It's been since Dark Souls 3 that I've gotten this much into a game. I'll be lost when I finish it LOL.

I got to try the game from the beginning for about an hour or so. Maybe I am too used to Elder Scrolls and Witcher 3 type games but I just couldn't get into it at all. I have a few nitpicks and gripes but the melee combat turned me off more than anything.

The combat system does take some getting used to. No magic!

You have to grind a bit to get the hang of and ability to fight. In other words, the further into the game you get the better it is.

Even with the hang of the combat you really can't fight for the first few hours of the game (at least I couldn't at the start of my second play-through.)

The first few hours are rough but that's kind of the point. Don't give up that quickly because once you start getting into the the thick of things and cut loose it really opens up.

I'll play this game on my next vacation again along with Pillar of Eternity 2 I hardly grazed this game.
