I got a Seagate 4TB drive for a Christmas gift and I have it in a Rosewill external enclosure attached to a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed port.

I am getting worried that the drive is bad or going bad as the read error rate (Which I don't fully understand the Raw values but it changes every time I refresh the drive info in Crystal Disk Info so I don't think that is good?)

I got 2 of the said enclosures the other one has a 1TB WD Black drive and that drive is several years older the the Seagate and the raw values for read error rate are still at 0. This drive is only used for backup but is always on and the drive is not even half full
Any information on this would be great

Thanks

Here are screen captures one of the Seagate and one of the WD.

Hi Format_C: ! Seagate here. Our recommendation is to use our free Seatools Software as it is designed to specifically diagnose our HDD’s as we do not publish drive attributes or thresholds that may give a different readings from third party diagnostics. Our Knowledge Base article goes more in depth on this topic. Depending on the results you may want to check on the warranty of the drive. If you need to contact support you may reach them here and as a recommendation it is a good idea to have your data backed up with the 3-2-1 method: Keep 3 copies of your data, stored on 2 different devices locally and one of them offsite in case of a disaster.
