Final Fantasy XV for Widows 20% Off

Cool while Steam showed a huge S-E sale on many games, this was not one of them but they were happy enough to put it in the sales list.

That happens with every franchise or publisher sale when their newest game(s) aren't discounted.

oh yeah I totally get that, "hey lets put all these other titles that aren't selling as well anymore on sale just as advertisement to show these new games".

Tough decision for me playing at 4k with a Titan-Xp, doesn't seem like 60FPS is really possible unless you turn the presets down.

Damn, I might have to go ahead and refund it on Steam already. I bought it last week so I could get the preload stuff over the weekend.

Man, Shame I can't take advantage of this discount...

I do think Widows deserve discounts though.
Why do you think a just released game for windows already deserves a discount? SE put a lot of work into what looks like more then just a port. It has all the previous content and new stuff for less then the console version. You people complain about lazy console port and still bitch when a company does a great job with a port. Can't win with you people.

Way to miss the joke captain. Look at the thread title and my post again. Let me know when it hits you.

I've played up to chapter 3 and I have to admit that with a little fiddling with settings this game runs amazingly smooth compared to the ffxiii, -2, LR fiasco (which pretty much all ran the game on the cpu in some weird console voodoo). Unfortunately the 3 Gameworks options each bring the VRAM over 4gb on my living room media boxes gtx 970 so I just leave them all off at 1080. Otherwise I get a really good experience (60fps on ~high) on my couch box and am quite impressed with the port.

Running it on my desktop with a 1080ti in 4k with the texture pack is pretty sweet but I just don't want to be leaning over my desk playing this game for 80 hours. Overall I'm happy to support them since they decided the pc is finally a worthwhile release candidate for their games, and hope they continue to bring more over in the future with a tuned up port or co launch.

The game obviously is watered down FF but nostalgia is a bitch.

Can anyone login to their GMG account? It keeps looping me back to the logon screen(tested with multiple devices):(

Started it tonight. I actually quite enjoy it, which is surprising given that I haven’t really enjoyed an FF game since VIII. This should tide me over quite nicely until Farcry 5 comes out.

Same here, really getting into it.

Game really picks up at chapter 3, so I'd consider the first 2 chapters the bland tutorial type. With everything maxed out at 4k with the texture pack, this has to be the best looking game on the market by a huge margin right now. I was surprised there wasn't some hit the ground running classic Squaresoft cinematic to start off the game, but I guess the movie kinda took care of that, for those that watched it. In fact up to 12 hours in I really can't remember any substantial fmv cinematics.

I bit on this after I played the demo a few days ago. Playing this game is like getting my single life virginity back:D

Interesting you should say that. If i recall there was a brief intro cinematic at the beginning. When i was younger (ps1&2 era) I loved these cinematic. At this point the graphics are so damn good it hardly matters.

Played it last night without the texture pack. It brings my 1070's knees down with almost high on every settings. 3440x1440 res.

I bit. I played the demo and my jaw dropped. To think I almost just sold my 1080. I ran it to my TV, sat on my couch with my wife and played. Holy shit this game looks amazing even with the normal textures. I dont know if i want to try the 4k textures on my 1080 55" tv.

You just sold me on it. Well, one day I will play my X-box 360-X I guess but not today hah.

Hopefully this will be a good test for new 1080ti and AGON 3440 x 1440
