EA Origin 85% off sale

The real question is, is Mass Effect: Androgynous worth $9.99?

I'm sure you could get 10 bucks out of it. I haven't played it and most say it's one of the worst of the series but I'll probably buy it for 5-10. Just got a bit of a backlog from black friday/xmas sales.

Though I do have to ask why they sell both the base and Apex versions with a minimal dollar amount between the two? It's not like you bought the dlc without the base game, or going to say, 3$ not worth it for the extra crap.

Thanks! I nearly bought Battlefront II for $30 the other day! I 'm glad I held off!

You should come join us in the Andromeda subreddit in the PC Gaming sub-forum where a select few such as myself absolutely loved the game, and others like Dan are more objective.

Personal opinion is that it's a steal for $10. And if I could suggest one more thing; go into the game with a open mind and forget about Mass Effect 1-3. Just try to enjoy the game for what it is and you might surprise yourself.

It's a good game in its own right. It's not as good as the original trilogy, but in all fairness not many games are.

I wish that EA would release a complete Mass Effect Trilogy with all the DLC included.

Is it still worth picking up BF1 this late in the 'game'? Heard a new BF would be releasing this year.

Also, I know Battlefront got shat on around the net... but how is the game?

There is always players playing online, at this point it all depends on you. Get it to hold you over until the new one comes out with all the DLC that it has you should be able to get moneys worth out of it.

Surprisingly enough, the single player for BF1 is reason enough to pick it up. Probably one of if not best SP war games I've played.

Is Dragon Age: Inquisition any good? They have the GOTY Edition for $15.99'ish right now.

Origin Access ends up being a much better deal in my opinion, if you can dedicate the time to playing.

Huge crowds playing BF1
Was on last night myself. New maps are pretty cool
Its a good game

Next one I'd say will be set in WWII, so it'll be a different beast.
BF1 will still have its following for quite a while I;d say

Battlefront 2 is so good looking and sounds great but the level design for Multiplayer isn't the best.
If this is any indication of Battlefield 5 should be good.

I hate these sales. I spend hours pondering whether I should buy games I may never play. I have always loved the BF games, at least the ones with maps that are not so big that it takes 5 minutes to see any action every time you die. Watched a video of BF1 and at least the level I saw reminded me of COD:UO (the best one). I'm in for BF Revolution. Who knows how many months it will be before I play it. Got too many other things on deck.

Picked up the ME2 and ME3 DLC packs. It's about time they were available for sale and without the need for BW points. The DLC I had left to get with ME3 was 3200 points total, or $40, so $24 was a deal for me.

Totally agree. I saw that they had added that. If they'd add native controller support I'd buy the who thing in a heartbeat.

I actually bought ME: Andromeda because it was on sale for $5 bucks.. Its not a bad game, if you can get past the animations.. I know its not that bad, but everytime It does a cut scene this run through my head.. " Thunderbirds Go!" to me it really looks like they used this TV show to program there so called animation AI..

ME: Andromeda is worth it just for the 600+ damage pistol and Hesh shotgun. And you can switch from infiltrator to biotic adept, or whatever.

The faces weren't done well but there are fights similar to the thresher maw in ME2 that have excellent animation of the giant enemy, fwiw.

I get all those games for $5 a month through Origin Access. I like it. But I'm sure one of you will offer a reason why it sucks.

Origin Access sucks at $5 a month.. When $30 for the year is available..

The next battlefield game with be available via Origin Access only, and will require real money to buy Guns and Ammo, when playing Battle Royal Mode...(This is a sarcastic comment )

Battlefront 2 is awesome I had my doubts when the game was released I think people shelve the game because they except to dominate a single match that can happen if you are good I mean really know where people spawn and camp on the maps.

Origin Access is great! I used it to play through the BF1 campaign (what a letdown) and get a start on the Titanfall 2 campaign (fantastic!)... My problem is that I tend to play a game for a few days and sometimes drop it for a couple months before I get back into it. I just didn't see the sense of keeping my subscription going for God knows how many months just so I can finish Titanfall 2 when I can buy it for $5. :)

Dragon Age and Mass Effect (I own the first 3) interest me a bit on Access, but my backlog is a couple hundred games too large for me to justify paying for the sub when I likely will never get to them.

P.S.

Thanks OP, I picked up Titanfall 2 and Battlefront 2. :)

Except for maybe Titanfall 2, I just came to the realization from that list I have zero interest in EA games.

Picked up STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II: Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition for myself and my son... $32 a pop. Thanks OP!

trust me it is... dont listen to the hateful minority on the internet unable to form their own unbiased opinion of something and take these guys word on how bad the game is. because that is a complete lie imo. it's almost popular to agree to hate something on the internet in some cases. the game had some problems at launch like most games do... i think SW The Last Jedi is some similar case. for some ppl it just doesnt meet the expectations they have made for themselves and so they start to hate on it instead. and they vote 1's just for unknown reasons, review bombing. that is so far from realistic as it can get.. and for most part it just consist of a few words like it sucks or something with a 1 attached, or rehashing all the negatives other ppl have pointed out. it migth not be the game of the year like witcher 3 but it's a solid game. combat system is interesting and fun, so is creating weapons and mods. graphics are really great and the story isnt half bad either, while i would like to see something more interesting then what the presented. and it is prety cool to go around discovering so many different planets and they all look different. me myself im a orign acces year member so it's free for me, alot of games end up there after sales drop enough, ontop of 10% on games wich most of the times is cheaper then anywhere else. but i would pay just to support BioWare wich i did at launch cuz they are very good. i would not hesitate to recommend the game to ppl into that kind of games, and most of the issues at launch have been fixed. play it and see :) u could just take 1 month of origin acces also.

EA is for most part a publisher, honestly i dont like many publishers, i look at the companies behind there that actually do the work wich is BioWare and Dice, those prety much do the dirty work for EA.

Nothing like rushing down a hill with 20 storm troopers and officers I finally figured out hot to unlock the heroes and here I was using my credits on cards duh!!!

This is one of my main complaints about games these days. They are too damn complex and there is little to no guidance on what anything is.
