So I'm doing an "Ultimate 90's Gaming PC" build and I found a nice 440BX board (Asus P3B) and now I'm looking for a good Socket 370 to Slot 1 adapter that supports Coppermines and Tualatins alike. Powerleap PL-IP3T is what I'm looking for.

Also I'm looking for any period correct gaming hardware for around the 1998-2002 period. This means 3dfx, early Radeon and GeForce, accessories, perhipherals, cases, and even monitors (Sony Trinitron specifically).

Most notably I'm looking for a Chenming or Antec or Uneec branded case that was popular around that time and used by Alienware.

Thank you

That case was also Chieftec, in fact that might be the original OEM.

I loved those cases, they were built so freaking well... like tanks. They're like the N64 of PC cases - you could drop them down a flight of stairs and you'd probably damage the stairs first.

Designed very nicely internally too - loved the way the HDD cages (usually two of them) loaded with these little levers, and the way you could pop 80mm fans into those cages - completely toollessly. They just snapped in to little purple plastic holders.

I collect hardware too, so good luck!

If you want cheap stuff, visit the local electronic recycler. Some of the sought after high end stuff goes for surprising amounts.

Wow talk about a flashback! I think I've had everything you mentioned at some point. I'd give them all to you if I still had 'em but I've thrown out all of that stuff between each of my last few house moves.

Damn... I just tossed that same case only instead of green, it was white. Hated to do it, but didn't want to store the damn thing anymore.

Thanks for the bumps guys! Yeah I know this stuff is getting harder and harder to find. Until now I've scoured eBay and found a lot of what I needed, but some items are just not there or ridiculously expensive...

Shipping those cases these days will cost as much, or more, than one of them originally cost new.

Where are you located?

I also collect older hardware. If you need ram, I have a metric shit ton of it. I wouldn't mind parting with a few sticks.

I also have 370 adapters. A few of them.

Older cards as well. Matrox g450, TNT2, voodoo3, rage cards of the era. Some newer cards as well like the GeForce 2's and 4's.

Shoot me a message and I am sure we can work something out.

Note: voodoo cards are not for sale. Just giving a time reference.

I finally ended up recycling a white version of that type of case last year. That style was great back in the day.

Sent you a PM, I have a Chieftec and a 19" NEC, if you pay shipping they are yours. Mind you that NEC is going to be heavy.

PMs responded to!

Just won an eBay auction on a Quantum3d Obsidian2 X-24 (2x Voodoo2's on one card with daughter board and fastest Voodoo2 based card at that)) so I'll be looking forward to adding that to my collection!

Wow, an Obsidian X-24, that was probably not cheap. Although cheaper than in 1998 dollars, heh.

hey! I have a black chieftec right now with the aluminum frame...light weight....currently holding my current rig case up to waist level. Had an old 939 AMD in it.
