EDIT: If you don't mind the funky star wars design on your cards, you can get one for $1138 per / limit 2

New in box, direct from Nvidia $1,200 per / limit 2 (in stock)

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/ (scroll down on the page)

Why am I posting this? Instead of thread-crapping other For Sale threads - especially for people that are charging fellow [H]'ers more for new/used 1080ti cards - people might as well just buy new cards direct from the manufacturer for the same / less money - plus you get: 12gb vs 11gb and Free shipping (though you do have to pay tax) :-D

Get the Star Wars Collector's edition straight from Nvidia as well. They look better and even a little cheaper. $1138 versus $1200.

Yep me too! I was looking to upgrade but everyone was price-gouging on the Ti's so I just decided to pull the trigger on the special Star Wars editions (got 1 of each). A few bucks cheaper and maybe they'll still be worth something in the future as a collectible once they age-out as gaming cards. They came with a cool display box too.

I'm glad I did when I did too, looks like the normal Xp is 1200 for a normal FE looking card!

I might bite on one of those Star Wars SE cards just to have it, but how far out is Volta from consumer card standpoint? That's a lot of dough for a card that probably will be outperformed in a non Titan model of Volta. I'd be curious though how many of the Star Wars cards they sold as that could have an impact on overall value as well.

If their past behavior is any indication, I'd guess the 1180Ti is still a ways off. But the 1180 (base model) should be one of the early cards out of the gate - same as when the Pascals came out.

The Star Wars cards are Titan X vs Titan Xp, so you miss out on a tiny bit of the full fat Pascal chip. They do look a lot better though :p.

Scratch that, wasn't paying attention.

Yeah but with the prices now will they go as far as slapping a $2k price tag on the new cards?

Alright guys relax, the cards have "Titan X" printed on them and I didn't bother to look at the details pages.

You sure? Pretty SW collection is a Titan XP, specs page says 3840 Cores.

i saw a 1080ti with a 4 digit price tag on EVGAs website.

they've lost their fucking minds.

$1200 fucking dollars for a video card.

My head cannot properly process that shit. I paid like $300 for my R9, and that seemed pretty stupid to me.
$1200 is just nuts, I assembled my entire PC for less than that

I just popped in my two Galactic Empire edition cards. I am glad I bought when I did. Now we'll see Titan Xp going for $1600 on ebay by tomorrow.

Glad I pulled the trigger on 2 when I did a week ago. I was going to SLI my Jedi+Empire cards but after testing the setup out, I don't really have any app that needs that much horsepower especially since I don't have a Freesync / GSync / 60+ high frame rate display anyway. One card is enough for me to play ESO on my 65 TV / OLED (which is batshit bonkers immersive - recommended!).

Don't suppose since you don't need the Horsepower that you would be wanting to get your money back out of the Galactic Empire card? ;-)

PM me if you are thinking about it

Sadly i had been thinking about pullinig the trigger for over a week, but it wasn't until it went out of stock that i had decided for sure to go through with it.
