In this mining-mad climate, you need to order online for pick-up at Microcenter, or reserve it for purchase at Microcenter.

Even still it may be gone haha.. salesman want that sale!

Prob Can't hold gpus atm.

I'd probably say you'll get more money in the end listing it high on eBay than you would here, It would probably sell in the $1100 or more range on eBay.

Looking online with my local MC selected and there is nothing appearing under video cards that's worth a damn for mining, 1050 and lower. Last time I was in there one of the associates told me customers know their truck schedules and are waiting for new stock to get put out.

What's up with that? Since when does anyone besides Nvidia sell Pascal Titans?

eBay is your best bet for maximum profit even with the fees. 1080ti cards are $1k+ all over the place.

Ebay is nuts.Minners are nuts. I just sold my 1070 and managed to snag an instock 1080ti from evga, cost to upgrade = 0.

Not anymore. A few days ago they changed all the GTX 1050 and up cards to say "Locate in Store, Not Available Online". You can't add to cart and reserve.
This is for AMD and Nvidia cards.

Took a little detour to my local Microcenter on way back from the airport. Seems the truck just came in. Was tempted to buy a couple 1080ti for $848 each with sales tax and try to unload new in box for $1,200 each.

eBay is a horrible place to sell. When I list on eBay it's only to drive traffic to my Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist Ad. Just use a unique identifier and avoid language that you want to sell off-eBay ... most smart adults get it and will contact you on Facebook or through your craigslist ad.

Not difficult. Of course you need excellent feedback on eBay to gain a potential buyers trust.

I've skirted eBay fees like this a few dozen times while gaining the benefit of their world wide platform.

Also, list on craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.

A good trick to use it switch up the title of the Craigslist and body and post it to multipal cities within a few hours of you. People will make the drive, trust me.

Ebay takes 10% of what ever you sell it for now... F ebay... need to call themselves FuckBay because your gonna take the meatstick over there.

My local Fry's has 1050Tis, apparently. There's apparently a case to be made for using those for mining, since you can get them and they're relatively inexpensive.

For those wanting to sell a GPU, try Craigslist. I actually sold some RX580s a week or two ago to a guy who paid in Ether. At the time, you couldn't really scalp the things, but I still came out pretty well, relative to their cost in dollars.

Meet at a police station if you feel paranoid, and if you're willing to accept crypto as payment, come prepared to confirm the transaction, with a phone set up for your coinbase account or a laptop that's synched up to the blockchain of whatever coin you're accepting.

I had a good conversation with the buyer about mining while I waited for the transaction to clear.

You guys must be looking at different shops than I am. The local Microcenter is selling 1050ti cards for $340+, and 2GB 1050 cards (which, I didn't think anyone mined on something with only 2GB of VRAM?) are seriously $280-$300. 2GB Radeon RX 550s are $200.

There's... literally nothing left to suggest for anyone looking to get a new videocard at this point. I can't even suggest buying one if you're building an HTPC and want something to run emulators and stream blu-ray rips. If you have a GPU from the last two generations you're just stuck with it for a while. Otherwise you're gonna have to go with onboard graphics for a build-your-own box. :(

People are mining on potatos right now, it's crazy. When I was at Microcenter the other day, people were coming in with groups (to avoid the two video cards per customer limit) and buying shopping carts completely full of cards. I had to go back later that night to exchange a DOA motherboard and every video card in the store was sold out, minus a few garbage 1030 type cards.

The dude who did my exchange also said people were ripping off Microcenter's no-questions 30 day return policy by returning their cards after mining on them for 29 days. Pretty scummy if you ask me.

Good luck - it's really not worth it to buy an $849 + tax card ($925-$930), then selling on ebay who will take -10% and Paypal -3%, AND you're assuming the risk of a CC chargeback on the Paypal transaction. Expensive GPU's are one of the hottest targets for Paypal chargeback scammers right now.

It's just utter stupidity to try flipping a GPU for maybe a 5% profit given the risk.

On the other hand, especially if you're willing to accept crypto in payment, you might be able to make more like 15% profit selling on craigslist.

Cost was $848 with tax and had no intention of selling on FeeBay. But yeah ... did not feel like dealing with it for roughly 30% profit each going through Craigslist.

Always funny to see people bitching about retailers price gouging. And then when given the opportunity, they do the same thing.

I hope you lose your ass on the next card.

Wait they have them at MC now? Fuck and its only after I move that they begin stocking that item...

Boy did I rip myself off. Sold a 1080ti FE for $820 several weeks back. Got a rape up the butt on the 10% fee $40 in ups ground shipping too.

Should've held onto it and been more clever. Would've made another $300-400 without the ebay bullcrap. Those fees really are out of hand. That said I can't whine about it too much since I did knowingly go along with it.

I have a 1080 im tempted in selling. I bought it for 430 bucks. I love the idea of selling it for like 700-900 bucks but the fact that I cant replace it soon probably makes me not sell it

Micro Center is price gouging now too!
