~$40 it looks likeHmm. I wonder if there is any market for older GPU's as a result.
I have an old GTX460 768MB version kicking around I could put on the market....
Certain coins you can...and still at a profit btw. I have two CPU mining Superior Coin at $650 profit. Just need to research the coins that are still profitable.

Any coin using the CyptoNight protocol is easily mined on CPU or AMDs. Even a HD7850 pulls in some decent numbers. Monero is one of those, BUT the difficulty is crazy high, so no profitability for older hardware.tell me more

i've got a 3470 2500k 1700x 1500x 2 x5670's a 4790k just sitting around where can i make money?
It's at the point now that I could ebay my two almost two year old cards and get paid to buy a Titan Xp.
Could even put in the ad that they haven't been burned down running mining 24/7.
It's a shame that all the mining morons are ruining the PC market, especially since it's for some second or third rate sham currencies like Lite Coin, Ethereum or Doge Coin...
Guess I'll continue using my Pascal Titan X for yet some time to come.
i will remember that the next time i see my bank statment with deposits of real world USD
This make come as a shock to you, but not everyone is a hard core gamer or needs a high end graphics card
Well, there goes that plan...Or, you know, they could increase production volumes to meet demand.
For the most part. 3dfx and upper end AGP cards used for retro builds are fetching decent money. But that is a whole other subject.No. The 9 series is still OK, but anything before that is worthless AFAIK.
Makes me feel better about paying full price for my Aorus 1080ti at launch. Looks like I got a good discount.

Nah, selling GPUs over MSRP makes them very happy
I happened to time it just right, and swapped 2x 290 + 2x 390X -> 4x 1080 for nearly freeI got my 1080 right before this craze started, so it was $350/shipped on sale with GR Wildlands. I'm feeling pretty decent about that purchase, ha. Had I held off to sell my 290, I could have probably made money on the upgrade.
Seems to me like all the profit goes to the retailers. Bulk pricing from the manufacturers is probably mostly the same.
i hope all these coins crash hard.
that will be very entertaining.
I wanna see a bitconnect-level crash.
I can understand your logic as it supports your POV/Agenda but that is far from the reality of it all. What really may come as a surprise to you is that the PC market is not supported by hardcore anyone. It's growth is built on mid-range components. I would suggest you go and look at Steams numbers. You will see all these numbers for yourself. Using your logic then I should be able to go buy a GTX 1060 no problem. Wrong, they were the first cards to go. Everyone in the game is getting hurt. Budget builders, mid range guys and the much smaller demographic hardcore gamer / builder.
