World of Warships Enters Open Beta!

Most overviews are done within the first 50-100 games, sometimes more, of a given ship. I've played the Cesare like 268 times and here's why:

Why is it that the NC and Bama have identical guns but the Bama seems considerably less effective ?

Was gifted the big box collection on stream and collected all the remaining ships available to me. Yes, I'm stupidly appreciative of the stuff people have done over the last two years, believe me.

Which lead to an amazing first match in the Alabama and a lot of good matches in the other ships, too. Picked up the Leander and Fiji today as well and really like the Leander. Thankfully, I chose the right day for that getting the Huang He and Perth which are similar enough to the Leander so it was just like playing the same ship anyway. Also, De Grasse continues to be weirdly impressive in a very unassuming way

picked up the Mo....I just cant make this boat work. The Iowa and I never clicked and I thought Id grab the Mo to give the class another go. Thing is, I loved the Colorado, and Im a monster in the Montana...but I purchased and sold the Iowa 9 times atleast, probably more. Im struggling to make the Mo perform as well as a bottom tier Colorado. I will consider it a project.

Thanks! The Missouri is its own beast. Just takes the right situations to make it work, really. I've never been overwhelmed by the guns' performance, however.

On a side note, I played the Cleveland for the first time in forever and this was also a pretty goddamn butt-clenching, comeback game:

I might bring the hipper, and I am currently pink. Could cause some tears when I run off and kite. Also R6 where it's extra salty already.
 
Unequivocally this is the worst player I've ever seen especially considering that he has 1600+ matches played:

He spammed the radio messages, I told him to stfu with it, he was pink and shot at me from across the map as I defended our cap and reflected damage back to himself and died. To throw it out there for you: you have to have no idea what you're doing to achieve 40% win ratio. You have to actively try to lose to reach 35%, let alone 31 fucking percent. His stats are in line with hardcore griefing and, somehow, this piece of shit isn't banned.

Anyways, it was an awful night. Took 32 matches to even reach 50%. Had only a couple good matches, unsurprisingly:

I'd strongly advise against playing the game for a few days. I don't know what it is, maybe an influx of god awful BR players (and holy shit there were so many last night) but this game has just spiraled into the shitter over the last few weeks like I've never seen before. You know just watching some of these players they never leave artillery zoom nor actually give enough of a shit to do well at something they are spending their time on.

well you can pull that off, most other players, not so much. And why I am seeing so many hippers, eugens and mogamis in ranked? like more than any other cruisers. Those are probably the 3 worst ships to bring.
 
Got to rank 10 with the Akizuki, so far so good.

It was like that the last time they did t8. It's the only downside to it since all the non premium t8 cruisers are trash.
 
The charles martel is pretty good, and chappy pops up with radar, but yeah, tough to compete with atago and kuter.

Roma is good until you fire the guns. The vertical dispersion is fucking insane.

2km from a broadside enemy Roma and 75% of the shells dump into the water. This ship is incredibly frustrating to play with how goddamn inconsistent the guns are.

I agree on that. What makes it so frustrating is how damn good every thing else is.

Will they buff a Premium ship ? This is flat out broken and needs fixing.

Premium ships get buffs with some frequency. That's never a problem. Taking something away from a premium ship, though, is an issue. The only way they really do it now is if it is a global nerf as far as something that affects an entire class or is a mechanic that needs rebalancing and changes the game at large.

In this instance, considering it has bottom barrel AA and secondaries for Tier 8 but top notch turret traverse and concealment I think they can scale down the dispersion values a little bit. It doesn't have the utility or all around offensive capability of literally any of the other Tier 8 BBs.
 
Finally done with ranked for this season, it wasn't a pretty one.

The Lo yang is a double edge blade, people depend on it to spot, but don't remember that they need to support it. Almost every game where we had a DD adv via lo yang, we lost, because people start to play like idiots all of a sudden when they think they have an adv. We even had a game, where I killed both of the enemy DDS, so now we had a DD adv, and we still lost. Ahh, lots of salt and frustration. The Flint will make up for it.

Finally, a yamato, yamamoto kraken with ships to spare :) the next 2 ships died within 1 salvo of each other , 15 sec reload yammy = ouch!

Reload mod, Adrenaline rush, and when you get a Kraken with Yamamoto

  • Second Wind: After earning the "Kraken Unleashed!" achievement with a Yamamoto-commanded ship, Second Wind activates. It has -34% to main battery reload time, -16% to torpedo reload and squadron prep time, and up to 48% of the ship's normal HP restored within 120 seconds. This talent functions just like the "Repair Party" consumable, which restores ship and module damage.
 
I gotta figure out what ship to put yamamoto on. I don't play much IJN other than zao.
 
I've had that captain on my Zao since October. Haven't had First Blood or Kraken since.

I rarely play any IJN ships anyways because they're generally terrible for how I like to play but it's pretty fucking disappointing.
